My setting is raised but I’ve never measured it and the site I bought it from doesn’t list the height in that way.  Only the height of the stone and the width of the shank.  Sorry I could not be much help.  I guess if I had to estimate it I think it is around 4-5mm from the base of my finger to the start of my halo.

Mine is a 1.7 it’s not too high it starts from the very bottom of the setting, you should add some height and have it start from the top of the setting. Hope this helps

My ering is 1 ct and sits really high off my finger… even with my wedding band it’s really high! Honestly though it doesn’t catch on anything. 🙂

i think the best thing if you don’t want your ring to get caught on things is to ask the jewellery what settings are best for this.

the stone can be raised the same height on many rings but appear very different depending on the setting or mainly how the shoulders are attached to the shank or band.

I’ve never measured, but here’s a picture. The band is 2mm wide and the stone is 1ct. In the second picture I was measuring the band, but I would guesstimate the total height is about 8mm.

Mine’s 8mm so it’s pretty high. I just got it (almost 2 weeks ago) so I’m still adjusting to it. I haven’t gotten it caught on anything or banged it against anything too hard but it doesn’t get it the way at times. I do believe that it’s an adjustment process though. I don’t wear any jewelry so I’m hoping it’ll just take some getting used to

I think it can make the diamond look smaller when it is set very low, so I would not go too far in that direction either.  I love the height of my setting….not too high, not too low.

Mine is pretty high, about 8 mm from the inside of the band to the top of the prongs.

I think mine is between 5mm and 7mm.
