@kansas_nurse:  First, sorry to do this, but it is a “deductible.”

Second, usually the size of your deductible is determined by how much your monthly payment is and what type of coverage you will get. Lower deductibles typically come with higher cost plans.

I would recommend considering what you do on a daily basis and what “risks” you have for damaging/losing your ring. Are you likely to chip or knock out a stone? Do you need to take off your ring frequently? Do you only wear it a few days a week?

All of these considerations can help you decide what type of coverage you need, and ultimately what kind of deductible you will have.

Mine is through perfect circle as well.  Mine appraises for a little over 6000 and even with a 0 deductible our yearly premium was only 99

@kansas_nurse:  Are you good at keeping track of things? If you are going to take it off often, that could increase your likeliness of losing it/having it stolen.

I, personally, loose everything! I have devised a plan where I only take my ring off at home and put it back in the box at night, when I go to the gym, when I clean, etc. Even with this plan, I still got a good insurance plan (low deductible) because I do not entirely trust myself 🙂

I got perfect circle with a $0 deductible and my yearly premium is $132. I tried different deductibles when I signed up by the premium would only go down $9 for every $100 I added to the deductible, so I stuck with $0.

@kansas_nurse:  my friend who sells insurance says that perfect circle is the best place to go.  And even with a zero deductible our yearly I payment is super super cheap.

Ring appraised for $10,000.  No deductible and it’s $9.00/month on my auto insurance with State Farm
