We’re not sure yet, but we’re planning on having a chicken dish for the meat eaters, and a scrumptious veggie dish for us vegetarians. I’ve been to way too many weddings where all I got was a watered down salad, and so I’m going all out with our veggie dish. I really want something mushroom based, because I love mushrooms, and we may end up doing a pasta for those who don’t like mushrooms.

Also, a good salad is a must for us. I’d like a caprese type salad.

We went to Aruba for a site visit for our wedding and did our food tasting too and LOVED IT!!

We are having Flat Iron Steak and Miso Sea Bass (my FAV) and Risotto for our veg dish!  If your thinking about doing a white fish, do SEA BASS!!!

@Candy – ABSOLUTELY!  The more the merrier.  Doesn’t it sound so good!  Fiance is a foodie and he was in charge of the menu–I think he did an excellent job.  I WISH we were having Mac and Cheese, because it’s my favorite too!

We’re doing a sit down and here’s ours:

1st Course: Penne Al La Vodka (Fave!!!)

2nd/Salad: Caesar Salad or House Salad of mixed greens (have to decide on that one)

Main Entree: Filet Mignon or Chicken or Salmon or Veg. Option (all come with sides of a veggie and I think garlic mashed potatoes or rice)

yum!

We’re doing a BBQ in a barn.

Future Sister-In-Law owns a hog farm, so they’re cooking us up a couple to make some amazing BBQ.. and on the CHEAP. I’m talking $150 to feed 150.

Other main dish is beef brisket.

I’m struggling with the veg option, but we’re having a ton of sides so I think it’ll be okay.

Gma’s making mac and cheese
Good ol’ Illinois sweet corn
Pasta salad
Potato salad
Regular salad
Beans of some sort
Coleslaw

I’d love to have cornbread, but I’m afraid it will be too big of a hassle. I need to find a sweet lady that will bake me some 🙂

@gocubbies – Illinois sweet corn! Ohhh, I miss summer. I miss making BLTs (with fake bacon) and having sweet corn. Yum.
