I know there are a lot of bees on here that are dealing with job-related issues & stress, so I was just curious..
If money & education were no object, and you could just go directly into any job you wanted, what would it be?
I would draw or paint random stuff & sell it on etsy or ebay 🙂 – Talk about lazy LOL 😛

I want to be a vet! Or an ER nurse, but with better hours! Or an interior designer!!!

Easy, I would be a housewife. I would spend my days crafting, taking tennis/golf/racquetball lessons, volunteering and inventing fabulous trips for my fiance and I to take together.
And, so I can make a little extra pocket change for myself, I will work part-time doing event coordination. The kind that is low-stress and does not require working on weekends. It’s all just part of the fantasy . . .

Genetic biologist/genetic biochemist. I’m a science nerd trapped in the legal world with no hope of getting out unless I hit the lotto and can go back to school full time and get my masters and then Ph.D. in biology and chemistry with an emphasis in genetics. If not that… SciFi writer. Yes… I know… I’m a geek, but that’s me. LOL!!! Or, an actress playing the role of a doctor, scientist or something like that.

If money were no object, I most likely wouldn’t work. Seriously. I would travel and do volunteer work when I felt like it.
If I HAD to choose a job, I would be a wedding planner, and only plan a few weddings a year so I could really focus on my clients and be there for them. I’m in the process of starting up my own business, but it’s taking a little longer that I would like.

if money were nothing, i wouldn’t work – i’d do all of the art stuff that i’m interested in, but not worry about anything else. I’d also volunteer a lot @ the animal shelter and travel more.

I would be a children’s book author/illustrator and I’d have a cartoon show based on my books 🙂 = Ultimate goal.

@galaticpony – that is awesome.
I think I would volunteer with children and animals, and take fun classes, from crafty things to stuff like women’s studies or Greek mythology. And get As in everything, as long as I’m making up crazy wishes.
Edit: and to answer the question for reals, I think I would work in a high school or college setting with first-generation college-bound/college kids. Which is hopefully what I’ll do when I’m done with my master’s!

I’d be a lawyer working for an international NGO.

I would be the new Samantha Brown. I would travel the world and get paid to do it too!

My dream job is to be a book editor. I’d love to spend my days fixing grammar and deciding which books will go on to be on store shelves.

I would also like to not work! 🙂 Or just work at a one man coffee stand! 🙂

OK – I agree with the not working thing.. but I think after awhile that would get really boring so I’d definately have to have some kind of a measly job that I enjoyed 🙂
