@danier:  If I were you I would simply tell my husband you didn’t realize the ring would be separating so much and it really bugs you and you wouldn’t mind havng it re-set.  Explain that the jeweler can use the same gold (melted) and of course the same diamond.  Maybe even offer a cash pot you’ve been saving up for a while so it doesn’t dig into the family budget.  My ring was about $300 to have re-set.  A small price to pay!  Don’t make a big deal out of saying it to him…just offandedly mention it to him casually…like you’re just mentioning it and see how he reacts.  THEN tell him about the melted gold and same diamond.  If he is even slightly hurt just drop it and say casually…well maybe I could just get them soldered together instead. ( I never wanted mine soldered either, but maybe it could be your second choice).

@greeneyedbee:  I have your exact ring in platinum! I thought the band was uncomfortable at first, but I actually have calluses from it now lol.

519B7F0B-6694-420C-A24B-38E35BA48597I picked my ring out and it’s even better than I thought! I wouldn’t change my ring, but something I like more than I thought and wished I had considered is the height of the center stone. Mine isn’t super high and it would be nice for it to be higher.

@teachingbee8:  is it the same?! Here’s a picture of the side of my “comfort fit” James Allen ring. At first I thought the edges of the weird band were uncomfortable but I find them to hold the ring in place now (upright) and I’ve really come to like it because it’s not bulky in the sides anymore. I just got the matching band last week and I love it. I rather like the low profile because it doesn’t get in my way, but my diamond is small so 🤷🏻‍♀️ Here’s a pic of it from top with the matching band because I’m obsessed lol. Do you know what band you’re getting?! Also, I wouldn’t change it now. Now that I have the band I really really love how it looks. 🙂

@greeneyedbee: oh never mind, I don’t have the flat sides on mine which is why mine is uncomfortable. I have 5 diamonds on each side so they hit my finger because they go down into the space between my fingers.

My center is moissanite! My fiancé bought 7.5mm, but it actually measures closer to 7.3-7.4mm.
