This year I am doing homemade Christmas gifts. Last year I made Snowman Soup and this year I am doing cookie in a jar.
I am undecided yet as to whether I will make the cookies myself and put in the jar once baked or whether to jar the raw ingredients with baking instructions. If I jar the raw ingredients it will be a basic cookie recipe with added chocolate chips in christmas colours, but if i make the cooking I want something more adventourous. I might do a combo of the two for different friends.
I am wanting to know your favourite biscuit/cookie flavours for inspiration.

I am very into Christmas cookies!!
i have been sending them out the past few years.
my ultimate favorites are thumbprint cookies. http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/9618/thumbprint-cookies-i
i also make oatmeal cookies and add dried cranberrys, mini chocolate chips and walnuts. the Quaker oats recipe is the best.

Make the cookies then give them out; I would enjoy that much more as a recipient. My favs: snickerdoodle, shortbread, and chocolate chip.

Our family tradition is to make Kolacky cookies. They are really good and almost everyone i’ve known has liked them. The best thing is that you can make different flavors and fillings.

ChocolateLime: Chocolate Chip is my all time favourite, but if you want to get kinda fancy, my aunt used to make candy cane shortbread and she would dye half pink/red and twist it together into a candy cane – best part of Christmas.

ChocolateLime: Those are really cute! If you know they would appreciate it then go for it! I’m the type who would love the idea but wouldn’t get around to baking them.
