@rockdr:  I haven’t started yet. I will finish my bachelors then start the gemology program probably fall of next year. How do you like it so far? I will be doing distance learning, then head up to new york for my labs.

I am a PoliSci (focus on American gvmnt) and Communications (focus on rhetoric) major. Double majoring just makes sense to me.  I hate the idea of filling in the “extra” 30 credits with classes that won’t get me anywhere. I can hardly wait for Fall semester!!

I was thinking about journalism degree but watching the news and reading the paper leaves a bitter taste in my mouth about journalism.

I am a Communication major, and my emphasis is in Public Relations. My university has 5 different concentrations to choose from if you are a comm major.

My undergrad major was Child Study, it encompassed education for general and special education, birth through 6th grade. My graduate degree major was Literacy.

I’m a Special Ed/Elementary Ed major. I was initially a Secondary Ed-History major, but I just happened to get “stuck” in a Special Ed class for some observation hours, and I loved it. I changed my major the next week and haven’t looked back.

I was a journalism major in undergrad, decided that it wasn’t really what I want to do with my life, jetted off to Japan to teach English for two years, ended up falling in love with teaching, now in grad school studying education 🙂

@Regina Phalange:  Did you enjoy Japan? DH and I are very interested in teaching overseas once we graduate (in December), and I’m always looking for perspectives from those who’ve done it.
