Black of hair. With the exception of red streaks I DIY’ed in college for a semester, I’ve never had my hair any other color.

Technically, “black” doesn’t exist as a natural hair color, but I voted for it anyway since everyone has always called my hair black. I used to get really mad about it for some reason, and as a kid I would wrap black crayons around my hair to show the difference between black and very dark brown. I was weird.

Its red right now and has been for the last 2 years, but I’m dying it back to my natural shade on Tuesday. Yipes!

I voted for black, since that is closest, but my hair is actually a ver, very dark brown

@Roe:  I used to get into arguements in elementary school because other kids wouldn’t believe me that my hair was actually brown, not black

Mine is a mediumish blonde, which seems to lighten as I get older.

Mine is a dark ashy blonde. I am trying to dye it as close to that color as possible before the wedding so I can let it grow out afterwards. It’s a lot like this color:

I don’t remember, really. I know it’s a shade of dark brown, but I’m not real sure what. I started dying it at 14, have had it almost every color under the sun (not blonde- that’s a color for next summer, post-wedding), and started going gray at 23.

Lately I’ve been dark brown, but I decided to go back to red for the wedding, so my stylist and I are taking the six month journey back to red.

There are still some of us natural blondes out there, so I disagree with your article. I’ve never dyed my hair, and this is what it currently looks like (I’m in my mid 20’s).

Mine was platinum blonde until I was maybe 7 or 8, then it darkened to a medium brown. I started dying it at about 14 because I missed the blonde, but when I got older I experimented with reds, browns, blues, greens, and black…All I know is right now it grows in a pretty dark brown, but I haven’t let it grow in its natural color enough to really know exactly.

My hair used to be blonde, but a couple of years ago it started getting really brown, so I started getting my blonde from a box!

I am naturally a dark ashy blond … it’s pretty boring on it’s own, so I put a few light blond highlights in it to give it a bit of a kick!

@sehrler:  I totally disagree as well, as I am one of the never-dyed, never-highlighted, natural born blondes. Still am at 24. It has darker streaks and whiter streaks, but I wouldn’t call it anywhere near brunette. I think never touched blondes are more rare than bottle blondes, but what a silly article.

I’m still naturally blonde! (I do help it out with highlights on top.)
