kristin36890 :  I’m resurrecting this to see if it’s just dairy like milk or eggs as well

megrays :  I actually had a problem with eggs at one point. I think I was just eating too many. I would break out immediately so I don’t think it was acne necessarily, but some form of hives. I’ve heard that’s common when you eat too many eggs. You just have to cut back and slowly reintroduce them. For dairy like cheese, I usually break out the next day or the day after that.

I’m a skin product junkie, and I also make some of my own products (lotions, scrubs, soaps, etc).

1. Wash your face with an oil based cleanser. Water will not dissolve the oil/impurities in your face (oil and water do not mix) where as oil likes oil, an oil based cleanser will dossolve impurities easier and you will notice the difference immediately! I use Fresh – Seaberry Oil Cleanser

2. After cleansing your face, use a water based toner and wipe your face. I like Clarins toning lotion with chamomile

3. Use a serum before moisturizing. Currently, I am hooked on Caudalie Vinosource Serum and sortbet moisturizer, and I use the Caudalie Resveratrol Night Cream.

As for diet, eat clean and DRINK WATER!!! I also add a green juice to my day whenever I have time to make it! The weeks I have to travel for work and can’t eat clean, I feel and literally look dull/dry/feel like crap.

While some of the brands I use are pricey, they do tend to be a little more natural, and really….I’m trying to look young for another 60 years hahaha our faces are worth the bi-annual splurges!

For pimples popping up I put toothpaste on the area before I go to sleep. It completely dries out the acne the next morning and then I leave it alone to go away. I rarely get acne (I used to more often), because I don’t drink milk, or soy milk, I got the most acne when I drank soy. Also I do the korean 10-step skincare routine every morning and night. It’s a lot of work but my skin is pretty awesome now, it used to be dry and annoying.
