Our Officiant is a good friend. She’s already let us know that she WILL NOT wear a dress…but she’s down for a neon green tux or a robe LOL…but really what is your Officiant wearing? Or what would you suggest for our Officiant?
Our groomsmen will be in black suits and bridesmaids in black infinity dresses.
Our wedding colors are black white and lime green.

Ours wore a black robe. She looked nice, and didn’t stand out.

@MrsTVLover: Did you get the robe for her? Ours is getting ordained just to participate in our wedding so she doesn’t own anything…she was pretty interested in a robe though!! If we got her one she’d be stoked.

Business casual anything is going to do just fine really, a nice shirt, nice slacks…as long as they’re sedate and conservative, it should work out…and no open toe shoes…yuck!

Our officiant is wearing a black robe, but we also considered having him wear a suit.
For your officiant, I vote for a black pants suit with a lime green top underneath.

Ours wore a robe, and it looked great in the guest photos I’ve seen so far.

Ours wore a plain black dress and black shoes.

Ours wore a gray dress that complemented both the bridesmaid dresses and the tuxedos. It was lovely.

Ours is also a good friend who is getting ordained just to marry us. We’re going dress shopping this weekend for her, but I think she’s going to end up in a black party/cocktail dress. Something short but fun. She’ll do the ceremony and then be a guest so she wants to look and feel pretty.

No idea….probably a tropical Tommy Bahama style button down shirt and pants since it’s outside, in Mexico, on the beach.

An appropriate summer dress. She did not get ordained just for our wedding, but had only done a few.

I have worn a black robe w/ wedding stole, black suit, black dress w/ black suit jacket. I also have worn grey w/ black suit and a brown suit. I give each couple a choice of what they would like me to wear. I do not wear the wedding colors unless asked by the couple. I believe that as a minister I should not look like a member of the wedding party.

Ahh so many great replies. Thank you all. So where do you get these robes? She would die of happiness I just know it!
