To be safe I put $250-300 because I still haven’t determined what we’ll do for flowers and a few other things I’m sure will add to our current expenses. Right now it’s e $231/guest though and $150 is just food & drinks.

Well over $300 per guest.  That puts it in a different perspective…

My husband and I just got married and overall, we spent a little over $40,000 on our wedding.  We had 210 people.  It’s pretty crazy when you finally break it down to the actual cost per guest.  I knew weddings were expensive, but never really factored in the additional costs than what the cost of food/drinks would be when figuring out monetary gifts to previous weddings we attended.  So, our wedding came out to be $190/pp, but overall we received $75/pp in cash gifts.  It’s all perspective, but I wouldn’t have changed anything.  We had a beautiful wedding with our closest family and friends!

Not counting photography, we are at 130/guest. With photography, more like 160. I could swing in either categories. I’d rather be in the lower one though! Laughing

Its kind of a misleading statistic, since the guest # varies so wildly among weddings. There are a lot of things that cost the same amount vs # of guests (for example, my venue was a flat fee, and obviously, my gown our own transport etc are fixed costs). We had 69 guests including us – it calculates to about $325 a head. But – that includes EVERYTHING – even our hotel, since we got married out of town.

Over $300 per guest, I think. I may not have calculated correctly. We’re at about 30 people.

Wow, 169.6! Based off of 150 people. I think we will be close to that, and if not, most costs are changing.  The only thing that would probably go down is food which is about $40/head and if enough people, a centerpiece

ETA: forgot the videographer and rehearsal dinner.  Does that count? I still divided it by all my guests even though only 34 will be invited.  $185.91

Well we are just having cake and punch after the wedding and a pig roast the next day so definitely under $50.

Around $130 for 140 guests.  Basically my whole budget was for everything but attire.  Of about 20k, only $650 went to attire – 380 went to my dress, 200 for hair and make up, and 70 for my earrings.  Everythinng else was pretty much food, photog, dj, flowers.
