I have 4 and love them all 🙂
My Maid of honor has been my best friend since 10th grade and we talk to each other at least 4 times/week.
My Matron of honor is my Future Sister-In-Law, she is absolutely wonderful! I’ve only known her a few years but I am so glad that she’ll be my SIL! We don’t talk very often but we try to skype at least every 2 weeks or so.
BM#1 and I are fairly close, we did a summer of mission work together so we basically lived together for 12 weeks. We talk every few weeks.
BM#2 is the only one who is local to me right now, the others live in Missouri and are baout 500 miles away! She was my first roommate at college, we hang out a few times/month. I’m so happy I’ve been able to avoid the Bridesmaid or Best Man drama I’ve seen going on! Phew!

I have 3 in my wedding. Wanted 4, but that one said no gotta love a Future Sister-In-Law that doesn’t want to be part of the wedding…lol.
I have always wanted my sisters to stand up with me when I got married, so it was obvious when we got engaged over a year ago that those would be the girls I’d ask. My Maid/Matron of Honor is my younger sister (25) and my 2 BM’s are my older sister (39) and my brother’s wife-my sister in law (37). I’m very close to my younger sister and my sister in law, but my older sister is in and out of the picture a lot. It makes it hard especially when I can’t really tell her how I feel, but I guess that’s why I have the other 2 there too. My sister in law has been with my brother since freshman year of high school 1989, so she holds a very special place in my life. I am a little sad that my Future Sister-In-Law, my FI’s only sibling wouldn’t be in it. She’s just not into marriage so that’s hard. It was really hard on Fiance when she said no, so that’s put a little bit of a weird twist on things. I do wish things were different with my older sister, but it is what it is.
Good luck though with your bridal party. I’m just hoping that the SH*T doesn’t hit the fan before or during my wedding. haha.

I chose not to ask my FI’s older sisters because I’m not really close with them and they’re all married with kids, so I’ll have some of their kids do a part.
I asked my 11 year old sis to be a jr bm and my FI’s neice wanted to be in the wedding so I just told her she could be a jr bm too (she’s 13)
I asked two of my good friends to both be Maid/Matron of Honor. I’ve known them for quite a long time. We don’t always hang out frequently, but we always have a great time when we do

My bridesmaids are 3 girls from the high school group of friends and another from grade school/high school/college. I can go to any of them at any time with anything, but I don’t see then all that often. We see each other on the weekends sometimes. Combination of then living far, me working on some weekends, and just life in general in the way. Anytime we see each other it’s just like it always was though.

I have 3 girls and they are my 3 closest friends. One of them I feel a bit distanced from sometimes as I think we are growing apart, but we are still good friends.

One is family (I’m an only child, so my cousin who is 4 years older is more like a sister) and the other has been my best friend for years. We just got matching tattoos to show off while we are at my Destination Wedding in Hawaii =)

I only have 3–my two sisters and my best friend since 7th grade. So definitely only close relationships that I know will last!

At first we thought we did not want a wedding part, but I have 3 really close girlfriends and I just couldnt imagine getting married with out them! 2 are my best friends from college and my MOH lives next door to my parents and has been like a sister to me and we are a part of eachothers families! FI only has one groomsman, his best man, we only wanted those we were really close to standing up with us wen we say I DO. If I wasnt close to them, they would not be in my wedding

Of my 4 bridesmaids: 2 were my sisters, 1 was Mr Rugby’s sister & 1 was my best friend. I stuck with family for the most part because… well you’ve got em forever, whether you like it or not!
Your situation with the cousin sounds a bit ridiculous. I’d axe the drama queen from the party: you don’t need any more stress than you already have on that day.

I have four bridesmaids. I am super close with the first three – one is my sister and the other two are my two best friends. The fourth I am just getting to know, but she is one of my FI’s best friends. She is really cool and I like her, but I just am not as close with her (yet) as I am with the other three.

I have my best friends, then some of my closest/longest friends, and then 2 friends who, despite distance, we still stay in touch regularly although we are super duper close…but likely since we manage to stay in touch despite the distance, will always be friends of mine for life.
Then I have FI’s sister who I am not close with but is a really great girl!

One of my BM’s is my sister, we have been closer in the past, but we are still closer than I think a lot of people in my experience are to their sibs and she is my sister. My other Bridesmaid or Best Man is a friend I’ve had since elementry school. We’ve had our more distant times and are closer times. I was Maid/Matron of Honor in her wedding and even though we live 4 hours away we keep in touch.

I only have the one (tho potentially I may have a second – my 13 y/o niece – if my brother decides to bring her — to NYC from the UK for our DW) and me and her are super close. I believe her to be as close to a soul mate as you can get in a friend! We’ve only know each other for about 4 years, but we clicked from the second we met, and I feel like I’ve known her all my life. She’s one of a few reasons why we’re getting married in NYC (she’s studying out there right now) and is helping me organise so much. I don’t know what I’d do without her 😀
