I’m not sure whether to vote just ‘solitaire’ or ‘solitaire with sidestones.’

Not sure what mine is either but I chose gemstone for the heck of it. Its a cathedral with side stones but well its unique, you should just have a selection for natural selection for flowers, bugs (in my case), etc.

Not sure what I’d call mine, so I put “other.” It has a single center stone in a half bezel with 4 rows of pave stones all along the band.

If it were between a halo and solitaire for me, I’d first consider what I wanted to wear as a band. Do you want a glitzy band that will jazz up a solitaire or something that will be simple and let a halo really shine? Will a band sit flush with the halo you want or leave a gap?

I guess I’m solitaire with side stones. OP, solitaries are timeless.

@Rubbs:  I have a very similar ring! and I picked solitaire with sidestones, too.

I have 5 sidestones on each side, since both of us are May babies! I also have 11 diamonds total, and our wedding date is the 11th!

I have a round diamond in a cushion halo with side stones. Fiance and I looked for rings together, and we both loved this setting best. I love it’s unique features, and the filigree and milgrain details…the finger coverage is great as well. It sparkles like crazy!

I have a solitaire and I absolutely love the simplicity of it.

Mine is a sapphire/diamond three-stone ring (half moon side stones) with a pave shank. We chose it together.

I like solitaires because they’re so classic and sleek but there are a ton of nice halo settings too. I know PERSONALLY for everyday wear I prefer something a little more blingy than a solitaire. My fiance hated halos and my favorite ring style is three-stone so I ended up with a three-stone with pave… but I have a little half-carat diamond solitaire for wearing when I want a more subdued look.

I have a halo but I think technically, it’s a round bezel halo in a cathedral setting with channel set diamonds – try saying that 5x fast 😉

My SO picked it out but he already knew I’ve always been drawn to vintage/art deco styles.

I picked 2 rings I LOVED and then let the SO pick out which one he liked! So I have a Solitiare center 1ct with 4 side stones on each side 1.5ct tw! I just love it…simply yet classy!

Halo – I decided the setting, as FI-to-be initally wanted a solitaire. Making the decision was hard – I posted about it here and the bee’s were very helpful – in the end, when I tried it on, it just felt right…even though I have a list of things that are wrong with it!

I’ve got a solitaire sapphire with engraving. Fiance and I picked it out together. My fingers are just too stubby, and I’m just not flashy enough to pull off more than a solitaire, but I find the completely polished bands a bit boring, so I really like my engraving.
