Dr. [real name].  I changed it as a joke when he graduated med school and never changed it back. It’s a great excuse if he calls and I want to get away for a minute: “Excuse me, it’s the doctor calling, I have to take this. I’ll be back in a moment.”

Even though I never call him that in person except when other people are around.

It seems weird to put a contact named “Hon” in my list, though. I do think of him as “Firstname.”

His real first name, which isn’t very common. 

The only person with a different name in my phone is my 12-year-old brother because his name is Sam and I have other Sams in my phone. I don’t want to accidentally send him something age-inappropriate, so he’s listed as Brother.

First name, last initial…for FOUR years. I didn’t know how to spell his last name, so I just put “M.” as the last name placeholder.  Three phones later I still haven’t changed it.  Seeing it reminds me of our first date. 🙂
