My something blue will be my promise ring from our first Valentine’s Day together.  The stone is blue, and I always wear it on my right hand.  🙂

I’m stitching our wedding date in blue on an inner layer of fabric on my gown. It’s tradition in our family that the gown isn’t “finished” until the night before – so that’s what I’ll be doing after the rehearsal dinner!

I will be carrying a white and blue hankerchief that has been in my family since 1822. I am so excited that my something old and something blue are the same thing and that it is such a special item!

Mine is a blue cameo broach to pin to my bouquet and I also have “I do” stickers for my shoes.

I’m having my bridesmaids sign the bottom of my shoes in blue sharpie.

i’m not engaged yet, but i think i’ll probably get white shoes and cover the bottom of them in royal blue rhinestones (just the parts that don’t get stepped on, haha). i think that would look nice but be relatively subtle.

My bracelet has blue sapphires in them. Also, I’m borrowing my FSIL’s grandma’s rosary to walk down the isle with.

I’m doing blue lace shoes that I made myself. Our flower girl (and only wedding party memeber) is going to have a blue petticoat, also diy. I like the small touches without going overboard.

My something blue (and something old) was the aquamarine ring that my grandmother gave to my mom on her wedding day that she in turn gave to me on my wedding day (aquamarine is both of our birth stones, as well as DH’s). I still wear it every day. 🙂

My fiance is a police officer so this “Thin Blue Line” charm will either be stitched onto my garter or added to my single pearl strand bracelet.
