My something borrowed is going to be my wedding band (as well as my something old). It’s from 1942 so its 70 years old! We are just on such a tight budget that when my mom said I could borrow this wedding band that was her grandmothers made sense. I will eventually get my own but for now I know I will love it!

Mine won’t really help, because I’m borrowing and wearing my grandmothers necklace.  However, could you borrow a piece of jewelry to fasten to your bouquet?  I’ve seen other bee’s on here do that.

My borrowed will be my sister’s wedding garter which our other sister purchased from the university we are all (all my siblings) alumni from. It doubles as my “something blue”. Not sure about old/new, but I’m thinking about seeing if my grandmother has a brooch for my bouquet and acknowledging my shoes as “new”.

I had such a hard time with this one! Finally I had an a-ha moment – my oldest friend is a perfume afficianado, and while I usually don’t wear perfume, wanted to for my wedding. So I tested thirty or so of hers and borrowed an amazing one (APOM Pour Femme). Then after the wedding my friend surprised me with a gift of a bottle of my own to wear on our anniversaries 🙂

I’m probably wearing one of my BMs veils.

A good friend of mine is loaning me a pair of her pearl stud earrings for me to wear.

My old and blue is my grandmother’s rosary that I will wrap around my bouquet to honor her memory(she recently passed away)

My new is basically everything else I’m wearing.

My borrowed was a diamond necklace that belongs to my mother and was made for her by her mother out of other older jewelry. I know that is not helpful to you. But I also borrowed the cake knife and server that my mother used at her wedding, so that might be an idea for you? Something like your toasting flutes, cake server, or like one of the other ladies mentioned attaching a piece of jewelry or trinket into your bouquet.

It was supposed to be my mom’s veil but I got that for my birthday present last year so now that’s my something old.

I’m borrowing a pendant my dad gave my mum when they were first married and attaching it to my bouquet.

My something borrowed is a ring from my MOH (it belonged to her grandmother who recently passed). However, she is in the middle of producing a show in a Fringe festival and is currently on the road to her next city. She is flying from that ciity to the wedding and not going home in between. I forgot to remind her to get it! Yikes! I will have to ask her if she remembered when I check in with her later tonight.

So, I may be borrowing some random item from someone that morning…LOL

For my something old, I am wrapping my bouquet in lace from my mom’s wedding hat and using the cameo charm that she wore on her wedding day (a gift from her mom) as a charm for my bouquet.

My something blue are my shoes and something new is my dress.
