I would say the most annoying habit is that DH can’t stand it if anything is even slightly out of place so he is constantly putting things away (my things) without telling me and I can’t find them anywhere. It is so frustrating when I need to find my cellphone charger and I look in the spot where I always keep it and it’s not there. Since DH thought it looked messy being out, he put it somewhere adn I have to call him or wait until he gets home to find it.

Quirky is definitely fridge behavior. DH refuses to throw anything out from the fridge. HE is grossed out by leftovers in tupperware, so he won’t touch it. And he won’t throw away old produce when refilling it with new stuff. When he finishes a liquid container (milk, juice, gatorade, condiments, etc.) he puts them right back into the fridge totally empty so I have no idea we need more until I go to use it.

Lol I am surpised by how many people get annoyed by clothes being left out (ok on the floor I can understand). Both Fiance and I leave clothes on our dresser that we have worn once and want to wear again. They aren’t clean so we don’t put them in the closet or drawer and they aren’t dirty so that don’t go in the hamper so where else are you supposed to put them. lol. That way we can make sure to wear them again before our weekend washing.

I think the habit that drives me the most crazy with Fiance is that when we are getting ready to go somewhere he will wait (and play video games) till I am basically ready before going to get ready himself. Drives me nuts. And he also leaves wrappers everywhere and plastic containers in the sink instead of throwing them away. He also likes to leave bread on the counter and I like it in the fridge because it lasts longer. Oh and he and his family have a bad habit of turning a short story into a freaking novel, I constantly have to tell him to please get to the point. Other then that I think I am the one with all the bad habits haha.

Lateness is the worst one.  I’m am ALWAYS early and he is constantly running late and it drives me bonkers!!

Another weird one is that he runs the shower for soooo long before he gets in.  The house he grew up in has crappy plumbing and it takes a long time for the temperature to even out.  OK, I get it.. you’re used to having to wait.  But we have perfectly excellent new plumbing and it takes approximately 45 seconds for the temperature to be right.  Stop wasting money by running the hot water when you’re not in there!!!

I just spend how long getting ready and you knew it and you sat there the whole time?! you have got to be kidding me!!!!!!

He leaves little puddles of water all around our sinks.  I actually do not know how he accomplishes this!  It’s like he has a water fight with himself every time he uses the sink1

Hehe, this a fun thread! ๐Ÿ˜‰

When my Fiance and I are sitting on the couch or watching a movie or TV, he loves to have the remote in his hand and he just plays with it unconsciously. His hand will bounce on the couch with the remote–and it will go up and down forever. He’ll he even do this with cups. It’s kind of adorable, but I have to stop him because I lose my focus! He smiles really big when I catch him. LOL! ๐Ÿ™‚

This one isn’t annoying…it just makes me laugh:

He’s not the “shopping” kind of guy, so whenever he’s with me when I’m out shopping and running errands, he’s walking through the store talking to himself (figuring out a math problem–he’s a mathematics/physics major okay). I think it’s totally cute because I’m used to it, but strangers just won’t understand. Haha! ๐Ÿ™‚

@stardustintheeyes: Haha! Oh mine plays the, “I don’t remember doing that” too… I believe him… but I still don’t like being yelled at, even unintentionally!

I keep thinking to myself that I need to by an airhorn and just let him deal with that wake up call.. screw the niceties.

So of course this is just one of the MANY ‘quirks’ my guy has.. When texting he never corrects the predictive texts or misspellings this is one he sent me last week ‘i think inca get sike cause my thrust hurts and I got the head ach’ translation-i think I’m getting sick cause my throat hurts and I have a headache… Drives.me.crazy. Especially when we’re taking about plans or something and a little word like will or won’t makes a big difference and I stare at the damn msg for five minutes trying to figure out his jibberish! Oh and @ jjmomma we’re in the ‘you call that proposal?!’ club too! Gotta love em

@stardustintheeyes: Whyyyyy? Lol. It literally drives me nuts. We’ll hear a song I like and I’ll go “Hey, I like that one!” And he’ll tell me to hang on as he flips to see if “something better is on.” Um, hello. It’s a 2-3 minute song it’s OVER now. Lol.

I thought of a new one…

He leaves wrappers/trash in random places. Like he forgets what he was doing when throwing it away. And he’ll often just leave it on the coffee table or whatever. What, am I the only one that can find the hidden trash can? And do I get a prize? Lol (His brother is the same way though. He was over last week and I swear I felt like I had 2 year olds.)

He listens to country. Lol. No offense, I like SOME, but not most.

He has a habit of saying “Where I come from…” like he actually is from the country or somewhere really badass. Instead of a couple miles outside of Chicago. So, when he does that, I like to say “oh, you mean *suburb he grew up in*”

This thread is so funny!

My Fiance puts peanut butter on f***ing everything, lol!  Like, he honestly brought me a milkshake today: blueberries, milk, yogurt, raspberries, strawberries…..PEANUT BUTTER!  ARGH!  I like peanut butter here and there, but it has it’s place!

He’s done this many times.  Sometimes I walk into the kitchen just in time to see him eating it from the jar with a spoon.  Or, he’ll dip the SAME spoon into the nutella and into the jam.  You cannot imagine how much peanut butter there is mixed in with all the other jars!

Ahaha, I love him.  And to echo many PPs, his farting (and his sheer joy in farting) can be pretty annoying sometimes (although it can be pretty hilarious sometimes, too, like when I’m far enough away but can still hear him, lol).

Maybe peanut butter causes gas.

Sounds like my Fiance is pretty average…his habits that annoy me seems pretty standard.  Taking a long time to compose a thought, never throwing anything out (not trash, like clothes he hasn’t worn in 10 years) and making a huge deal out of farting.  Serious;y…its a normal human body function, get over it!

One think that really gets to me his is inability to get excited.  Sounds odd, but I like to look forward to things, like a date night or vacation and I get excited about fun things.  He doesn’t get excited about anything, even if he’s looking forward to it as well.  I never know if he actually wants to do something at all, and sometimes I get mixed signals and I have to ask if he wants to do it or not.

This is all pretty silly, because I know that Fiance and I were made for each other.  Just in case he finds this post…I do some pretty annoying things too:

1) I interrupt

2) I multitask, wrongly.  Like being on weddingbee, giving him 1/2 atttention when he’s trying to tell me something important.  I HEAR him and am comprehending, but its hard to prove it when you aren’t looking interested.

3) I have NO sentimental attachment to most things, and Fiance is extremely sentimental. Sometimes I appear cold hearted towards things like family heirlooms. This is were the throw things out/pack rat issue comes from.

I’m sure there are MANY other things I do that drive him nuts, but we make it work. Love that man!

1. Putting WAYYY too much ketchup and A1 on everything! I’ll spend forever getting the spices just right on dinner and he’ll drown it with sauce! Also, I can’t stand the smell of those sauces and you can smell it from across the table. Yuck!

2. Half-assed multitasking. He swears he is able to do homework, play WoW, eat dinner, listen to music, and talk to me all at once. Wrong!
