Am I the only person who is old and grouchy? I just met with our MC the other day and laid out our timeline. Our ceremony will be at 5, reception from 6-10. That way, my husband and I can be in bed by midnight! Haha, I just think we will be pooped. And as a wedding guest, I almost always leave after 4 or 5 hours. I just get so drained.

Another short wedding too. I’m an introvert and I know I’ll still be exhausted lol.

I want to enjoy the rest of the day with our photographer taking pictures of us.

compared to some, my wedding would just be a blip in their day….but works for us.  (we also only have 40 guests, so anything longer might be too long)

ceremony: 5-5:30

reception: 5:30-8:30

then the young people will meet up and hit some bars in the city, until we all feel cranky and drunk, and then go to bed.

I’m not sure our ceremony time yet, but there is no question about the bar- it will be open until 1am. It will probably take about a half hour for people to clear out after that. An 11pm end time would shock guests. My family like to dance 🙂
