@Pixie26:  Ugh Jersey Shore….. I tend to think we are the Construction Capital of the World.

My home state of Michigan is known for being surrounded by the Great Lakes and…cars manufacturing, I guess.

My former state of Nevada (for 4.5 years!) is known for gambling

My current state, Colorado, is known for having a plethora of outdoor activities!  And for having hippies.  And pot.  Although I haven’t seen a hippie since I’ve moved here….

Vancouver, BC – Marijuana. Oh and yoga, and yoga wear as everyday clothing (I seriously wore a baggy yoga top to work today…). Ah, and let’s not forget hockey riots.

Lots of money, oil and gas, cowboys, rednecks, floods… It’s a weird place.

I’m a West Virginia girl!  I guess we’re known for our beautiful mountains and scenery.  My hometown is not known for much at all other than being devasted by a flood 12 years ago.  The D’Antoni family is also from here.  Mike is the coach (I think) of the Lakes now.  His father Lewis still lives in my hometown.

My state as a whole is known for tobacco, horses, and both Kentucky and Louisville being in the Final Four.

I guess Louisville itself is known for having the largest baseball bat in the world.

Oh! And fried chicken. Of course.

@LittleButtons:  Where I live is renowned for its vast number of crocodiles, cyclones and alcoholics, horrible humidity, appalling public transport services and painfully embarrassing excuse for a newspaper…

@LittleButtons:  Utah!

We are known for the Mormons (I am not LDS)

Our five National Parks and other National Monuments

14 ski resorts – our license plates say “Greatest Snow on Earth.”

My area has the city of Logan which is known for Utah State University, Logan Canyon (recreation), and we have several top notch research institutes here in our little valley.

We’re known as the City of Roses and the Automotive capital of Canada.  We are also a border city to a major American city, and so our border crossing the busiest in North America.

Lately however, we are being known for being the penis city… yeah…
