I think your board is great, and I wish I had a chandelier outside. I can get away with just saying mine is “nautical”….but it’s not because of anything I’ve done, as I’m getting married at a yacht club hah! And for the record, I love multi colored rustic! Awesome. Don’t let anyone make you feel badly about how you want YOUR wedding to be.

It is YOUR day!!! Who the EFF cares what other people think??? I used to say things just to get a rise out of my FI’s stepmom because she is so nosy and judgy. I can’t wait to see her face when she sees my dress!!! (She doesn’t think I am having a dress, or colors, I got so sick of her asking–and I don’t want her to be judgy if I tell her that my colors are the colors of the rainbow only brighter!!!) I’m sick of worrying about everyone else and what they think is “right” for our wedding–my Fiance and I–NOT THEM.

Thank you everybody…you’ve all made me feel so much better. I love the “trust the vision!” statement! I need to use that. I’ve been telling everyone “It’ll be pretty, I promise!” But I don’t know what else to say. The only people I have told about the Chandelier is my family and my FI’s family…but thats just because they asked me why I was painting a Chandelier white.
I agree that it probably has a lot to do with me not exactly knowing how to explain it correctly. I just don’t get why everyone wants to ask me so many questions and give so many opinions…when they’re NOT PAYING FOR IT. Ugh.
Also, I’m new with the inspiration board thing and I know that it is a mix of pastels and bright colors on there. Mainly because I liked some of the pictures with the multi colored vases, but they have pastel flowers in them in the picture. I’m pretty sure my flowers are going to end up being more vivid and bright colors.
I reckon I’m not too good with words.

Have you ever checked out ruffledblog.com? I’ve seen a lot of other brides on there with awesome multi-colored weddings, and chandeliers (and more!) outside. Try it for inspiration, and maybe to get an idea how to explain your vision more confidently. It sounds great, so why not be confident 🙂

You should just start stringing adjectives together. 🙂
“Sleek ruffled modern vintage shabby chic gothic romance”
And then tag “travel” at the end.
Your board is awesome. Just do what makes you and your FH happy.

“I haven’t decided yet” usually worked for me. Shortly before the wedding, people will be more concerned with “Are you all set?”.
