We did about $7500 for everything. I live in Southern CT. I had a smalll (40 person) morning wedding with a restaurant reception. For the honeymoon we went camping in the Fingerlakes for a week. The majority of the honeymoon cost (about $1500) went towards buying wine!

$13,000 for 110 guests in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

No honeymoon included as we are not going on one. That figure is including our rings though.

It started off with a goal of $10-12,000, but I think we’re going to be looking at more like $16,000.  That is for a wedding for about 400-450 people, including rings and honeymoon.  We are still 8 months out though, so we’ll see if that changes!  Both of our parents are contributing some, but we are paying for the majority.  Wedding is in Ohio.

If we were to count rings and honeymoon we’d be over 110K. We’re having a fairly large Italian type wedding, approximately 250 people. The whole process is stressful but hopefully will be amazing in the end.

We started with a budget of $10k, but have upped it to 15 to have wiggle room. Hopefully with the honeymoon we’ll stay under that. Having a wedding in MA is pricey. 75 guests.

In Canada, 100 guests, including rings, honeymoon, the whole nine yards it’ll be between 40 and 45k.  It’s a lot, but a fair chunk of that is the honeymoon and the rings.  If you take them out we’re looking at a little under 30k, which is what we’d originally budgeted.

mrskirk:  Well, our budget WAS $16,500, not including our honeymoon. Including the honeymoon it should have been around $19,000. But it looks like we’re going to be going over-budget by a few thousand dollars, so we’ll probably be closer to $22,000 to $25,000 once it’s all said and done. We’re in Nashville, TN and we’ll be honeymooning for 7 days at a bed and breakfast in New Orleans.

I haven’t added all the expenses, but mine was 8-9k for 50 people in the Chicago suburbs.  We did not take a honeymoon

mrskirk:  We had a Destination Wedding in Italy, and our honeymoon was there, too.

Ours came in about $23,000 for both.

    This included:

-Rental of a villa for a week (aka lodging for Bridal Party, officient, and parents, also our venue)

-In-house dinners for all 22 guests, about half of the week (other times people ate out)

-Coverage of my and DH’s tour fees during the week (everyone else paid their own)

-Coverage of my and DH’s plane tickets (everyone else paid their own)

    -Food/drink/cake for the wedding

    -Ceremony setup and takedown

-Wine for ceremony (in place of unity sand)

-Wine for everyone for the week

-Wine for favors (1 btl per couple)

    -Rental car for our honeymoon

    -Hotels for honeymoon

    -Food/drink during honeymoon

    -My and DH’s wedding attire

-Bridesmaid gifts (DH didn’t want to do any for his GM)

-Nail appointments for moms and BMs and me the day before the wedding

    -Photographer and her flight

-Gifts for moms and officiant (DH’s aunt)

So, in short, everything related to the wedding and honeymoon was covered in that figure.

ETA: If you include wedding bands (oops) it was more like $24k

If you include rings & honeymoon, probably around 85K? We’re getting married here in Boston and will be taking a Mediterranean cruise around Italy and Grecee for our honeymoon.

Wow what am I doing wrong?  I’m really surprised at how low the cost of some of the weddings are.  I just assumed that most people would be spending around what the average is.  It’s cool to hear a lot of people spending less than $15,000 for a good size wedding.  I had a budget of $8000-$10000 for my wedding/honeymoon in Cabo not including travel, rings and attire, but I just did a rough estimate the other day and it’s adding up to be around $12,000 and it’s only for around 30 people.  My fiance is pretty clueless about what’s going on with the wedding and I showed him the breakdown of what it’s going to cost us and he didn’t yell at me, but was shocked and asked what I kept buying.  I told him I wasn’t buying anything and that it was just the cost for food, alcohol, photographer, florist, dj, etc and that I chose the most affordable vendors there.  Destination weddings are definitely not cheaper…

    • Wedding: December 2015

Semi-destination wedding to New Orleans, in December, for 40 people.

trying to keep budget under 10k, would love to end up under 9k, but we will see.

Biggest expense: $7100 covers our venue (ceremony and reception), lots of food, open bar, tables/chairs/linens/plates/glasses, cake, fees, and our suite for the wedding night.

We have $550 budgeted for invitations/Savethedates, website, bouquet, and chair covers.  I am trying to reduce this number by at least $100, but awaiting word on whether I need 40 or 80 chair covers (trying to see if i can reuse chairs at ceremony and reception)

Reception decor/centerpieces are budgeted at $180, we have $500 set aside for Fiance a new suit, and $250 for my skirt (remake of an heirloom, locally).

(we are not having pro photography or videography, no wedding party that needs gifts, etc.)

For our honeymoon, we are planning on renting a beach house in Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan/Orange Beach for a week, would prefer to stay under 900, but we can flex to about $1500 if necessary.

Our parents are paying for most of the wedding itself (and his suit), while we are covering all decor, my outfit, our additional lodging, and the honeymoon.

Comes out to $10,080, including the honeymoon flex.

(I also did not include rings, as my ering was $800 two years ago, I’m using a family wedding band, and Fiance wants a cheap titanium or stainless ring)

with rings and honeymoon 80k. Not to mention rehearsal din…

This gets us- 4 piece bluegrass band for ceremony/cocktail hour, 10 piece funk band with horn section for reception, oak dancefloor and sperry sailcloth tent, botanical garden venue, coordinating team (3 people), top shelf open bar, farm to table gourmet catering served family style, lots and lots of flowers (arch & garlands & crowns & centerpieces), chartered bus for all guests, letterpress invites. All for 150 guests.

Boutique luxury resort honeymoon in St Lucia, and two Tiffany wedding bands. One of which is absurdly overpriced (his) but he wants them to “match” and I can’t shut down his one drop in the bucket request. Doesn’t include my ering.
