Our original budget figure was $15,000 but now it’s $17,000 and it’s not going any higher than that. We are having a destination wedding and this budget includes our rings, meet and greet, welcome bags, and all traditional wedding expenses. It doesn’t include our suites.

Venue — $6,000 (includes centerpieces, all flower arrangements inside & out, linens, china, flatware, tea, water, and a lot more)

Dress — $1,550 not including alterations

Flowers/Bouquets — $300 (florist is friend of the family)

Catering — $800 (FI’s parents are catering, we just pay for two support workers)

    Bagpiper — $350

    DJ — $600 (4 hours)

    Cake — $500 (4 tiers, 4 different flavors)

    Invitations — $575 (including postage)

    photography: FREE through contest

    dress: $3,200

    hair/makeup: ???

    Flowers: $200 (local florist)
    Dress: $120 (davidsbridal.com)
    Rings: $370 (all bought online)
    Cake/Cupcakes: $90
    Accessories: $60
    Photographer: $600
    Venue/Catering/DJ: $3000
Honeymoon: $400 for travel(not including spending money; it’s a timeshare week my mom is giving me)
    Hair/Makeup/Nails: ~$100 (estimate)
    Decor: $40 (all DIY)
    Invitations: $60 + $40 for postage

So thats ~$5-6k INCLUDING the honeymoon. And I’m not having some cheap-o trailer wedding either. 😀 *proud of my frugality* I mean I’m only 22, and the only part I had help paying for is the Venue (which has catering and DJ included)

@dreamocracy:  Love it!  I truly don’t believe in spending tons of money on a wedding.  My budget is $5K at the max for 150. INCLUDING honeymoon.  And it’s very doable.  You just have to do your research

Not sure what the final total will be yet, but I budgeted $8,000 at first. I know it’s going to be more than that, probably around $10,000.

My budget is 30k-ish for about 200 or so people.

    Dress: $1800, alterations $300

    Shoes/Veil/Headpiece: $550

Centerpieces: $320 (DIY for 20 tables, $16 per table!)

    Favors: $200

    Invitations/RSVP cards/Thank you cards: $900

    DJ/Lights for 4 hours: $2100

    Flowers (not for tables): $1500

Photographers for 10 hours plus rehearsal dinner: $4000

    Videographers: Free (with gift)

    Officiant: Free (with gift)

    Ceremony musicians: Free (with gift)

    Hair and nails: Free, DIY

    Save The Dates: Free, emails

Jewelry: Free, all borrowed/hand me downs

    Makeup: ???

Venue/Ceremony/Reception/Dinner/Cake: $99/person all inclusive, so about $20k here

We’re only slightly over budget, and it’s not breaking the bank. Maids are buying their own dresses, Future Mother-In-Law is paying for open bar and rehearsal dinner things, still need to rent tuxes and buy our wedding bands. Also not including the honeymoon costs, travel costs, and hotel costs for ourselves.
