I started at 30K but I had to be realistic and almost double it once I realized how expensive the DC / VA area vendors can be – I’m mostly increasing it to allow for my desired venue and relatively larger guest list than planned (180-200)

I can’t even remember what I voted in this poll because we started with $3K as the budget and we are now more like $5K as my bonuses have been more generous from my day job and my side business than we had anticipated. 70 guests (inviting 80 but we are fairly sure 60-70 will show, will know more once RSVPs come in next month) and it’s beer and wine open bar, heavy apps and I am pretty honed in on the little details to make it awesome, without the giant price tag. We lucked out in that our beach venue is free, and the reception venue is also free (and really pretty!) No sit down dinner which saved a ton.

I set a budget of 10K and came in around 9K with everything included. We had about 200 people for the wedding and reception and a live band. I did a lot of DIY and called in lots of favors from friends, but it turned out amazing.

We’re planning on 25k. Hopefully that won’t change between now and then because my wedding is so far out things just pop up but I REFUSE to go over 30k

We are doing a 5-6K budget for around 50 guests. It may take a LOT of research but I got everything a lavish wedding has!

Before I looked at pricing, I thought we could do 10k…WRONG for my town. Our venue alone was above that whole budget. (but it is all inclusive, food, alcohol, etc) After that we didn’t set a budget/limit, but in the end we will probably spend around 23k.

Our total will be around $28,000 not including rehearsal dinner or honeymoon. My original “idea” was to keep it under $10k but obviously I didn’t realize how quickly costs can add up. Worry not, nothing is being charged!! My mom paying for the majority of the wedding.

I voted 16-20k, not including rings, honeymoon, or rehearsal dinner. Nothing’s planned yet though, so I bet I will end up going over. My parents want to spend 15k and then I will pay for the rest. Groom’s family is covering rehearsal dinner and honeymoon.

Our budget was originally was $10k, but it looks like we’ll be coming in just under $12k (US). This does include everything though (rings, hair, tux rentals, tips, tax, etc). This is for 60 people, sunset ceremony, evening reception, with a cocktail hour and buffet dinner.
Our biggest splurge is our photographers (over $2k total), our biggest savings is probably flowers (I’m DIYing bouquets the day before) and the invites: $100 for 50 pocketfold invites with 3 inserts and organza ribbon closure. The price does include all of the stationary for the wedding though (programs, guest book, thank you cards, etc).
We have gotten about $2k worth of help, but the rest we are paying ourselves. We are sticking to our budget because I don’t want to go into debt for my wedding.

15K – and hopefully under!

Originally it was 10k… Now I’m not really keep close track. I think I’m about 20k without rings, rehearsal dinner, honeymoon.

- Wedding: September 2014 - Lodge
Hoping to come in under $16k but we’ve budgeted for between $16-20k. It helps that my uncle and cousin are doing photos and a friend is doing video.
