I think mine will be around $19k but it will be hard to say (I’m planning for about 85 people).  A lot of the smaller things I just buy randomly (I ordered shoes today just out of my normal checking account) so it’s hard to keep an exact amount.

This doesn’t include the honeymoon or rehearsal dinner, but does include rings.

My “original” budget before I’d done any research was 10k…lol.  Then I moved it up to 15k and I’ve pretty much done all of my research and have some vendors booked…so 19k will be pretty accurate.

Fi and I will probably be spending about 7-8k of our own money.

My parents are doing the rest.

Fiance and I are paying for the reception, which is at a hotel that handles almost everything: linens/rentals, catering, top shelf open bar. Mom/Dad are paying for the rest: printing, flowers, church, transportation, dress, etc.

This split has us paying slightly more than half of the total, but it’s pretty split down the middle. Also, it gives us control of the guest list, which has been helpful.

I set an initial tentative budget of $3000 but after adding little extras, bumped up the budget to $5000 for 150 guests, evening reception with full meal and 3 apps p/p.  I’ll be coming in around $4500 for the ceremony and reception, including dress, rentals, transportaion, hair, makeup, wedding rings, etc.  That total does not include honeymoon or Rehearsal Dinner, which will push me past my budget up to around $6000. More than I wanted to spend *sigh*

I also didn’t include certain thins in my budget that added up like buying the material for the bridal party attire.  I didn’t include my son’s attire or my sister’s dress in that total either as it didn’t occur to me to do so.  In the end, it will be worth it but I cannot believe I increased my budget and still ended up spending double what I originally wanted to spend. But I am going to et an amazing honeymoon out of it so, all is well that ends well.

I had originally set a budget of $8,000 before really pricing anything out in our area. Once I started doing that I realized it just wasn’t going to happen with that budget. We upped it to $10,000 and now it will be right around $12,000.

Luckily, my dad is offering some money for the wedding, which will really help us and ensure we get everything we really want!

ETA: This is including wedding rings and a mini-moon!

Our budget was 35k but we are actually saving alot of money as we book so it’s looking like it will be around 20-25k not including honeymoon and wedding rings.

My wedding is currently at 35,000 and my mom thought that was reasonable for NYC. We are having 275-300 guests with sit down dinner and cocktail hour. We have yet to shop for photographer, videographer, flowers, dj/band, soooooo I’m thinking an extra $12,000 give or take a few. At the end everything will be worth it and the most important is no debt afterwards!!!!!

Just under $15k NZ (just over $12k USD) for 45 guests 🙂 Happy with that!
