I am in Indianapolis, IN and we had a $15,000 budget and came in right around there. It was definitely a comfortable budget for my area.

Central VA and trying to keep it under $3000 not including my dress. I don’t have a hard limit from my parents, I just enjoy being frugal. Honeymoon will be at Disney, but I’m not sure how much that will be yet.

Just wanted to add that we are expecting around 100 guests.

We had a budget of $5,000. Ended up somewhere around $6,000 for 46.

Our budget was $12,000. But friends and family hooked us up with a church and a free venue with a $250 deposit, we saved nearly $4000!! And we’ll be saving more!! We’re not done yet 😀 most of our church family is either in the music business or wedding planners themselves, or know so many people….so happy!! Everything will look amazing! What a blessing.

    Ontario, Canada here.

Our budget is 120K for 300 guests.

Not included are our rings, my dress, shoes, jewelry, his suit and anything coming in under 1K.

Honeymoon also not included since we’re not going right away so we haven’t decided.

Our cost will likely be about $50-60K for 100-125 guests in Philadelphia. We’re not doing anything crazy (no champagne fountains with Veuve Cliquot), but wanted to host our guests well. This also includes a welcome party after the rehearsal and a farewell brunch.

We are getting married in Denver, CO.  Our budget, as of now is $50,000 not inc honeymoon. We have been gifted $10,000 of that from parents, the rest we are covering.

we will be having approximately 100 guests

Budget is $25K not including the honeymoon. My family is contributing half of that, his family some as well and we will contribute the rest. At this point it seems like we would come in under budget. Looking like we will spend about $20K for ~125 people.

I think it is fascinating how varied the budgets are in the answers of this poll! Btw my vote my “budget” is a guess. I may have spent more but I never tallied it all up and I don’t want to know!

We’re eloping and hoping to keep it under $5000 minus our rings cost, it’s proving to be difficult.

My first wedding (15 years ago) came in just above $50k. It was 80 guests, held in a Newport Mansion. It was a truly lovely wedding.

Second time around, Fiance and I are planning a destination elopement. We decided not to set a budget. Since it’ll just be the two of us, the majority of expenses will be pampering type items – the resort, meals, alcohol, massages/spa treatments, shopping, etc. I do also care about my gown and getting a top-notch photographer to snap a few memories. Otherwise, it will just be a lavish vacation with a wedding thrown in one day. Lol. I think Fiance is planning to just wear jeans & a sportcoat… 🙂

    I’m guessing it’ll be under $30k.

andielle:  Our budget is $60K, and we’re getting married at Laguna Beach.

This doesn’t include my dress but everything else is included, and I’m paying for my 4 Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, hair & makeup, wedding rings, groom’s suit etc.

We haven’t worked out a plan for the honeymoon yet – we were thinking Europe but since I’ve got some health issues we may stay close to home for the next year 🙂 Either way I don’t care what we do for that either since essentially every day is like a honeymoon to me haha!

We’re getting married in New England and unwittingly hosting our wedding in a “destination wedding” hotspot so things are pricier then I expected. We have about 100-120 guests, are doing a backyard wedding (so bringing in everything), and have a budget of $35kish not including rings, honeymoon, or our travel costs to the location (as we live in Europe right now so need to fly home for the wedding).

    General breakdown:

    Attire, hair-make-up, jewelry, etc: $3,750

    Location (rentals, insurance, etc): $8,000

Food & alcohol (including all taxes & service charges): $10,000

music, photog, flowers, decorations, gifts: $7,000

    invitations/paper goods: $500

Rehearsal Dinner, Sunday brunch, wedding planner, accommodation costs: $7,000

So we’re at about $36k right now. Ugh that’s so depressing.

We are still weighing up two possible scenarios.

If we elope, it will be either San Francisco or Bali. If it’s SF, probably $15k. If Bali, probably $7k. Then we would have a party to celebrate with friends and family when we got back, about $15k.
If we have a wedding here, we would like to keep it under $30k (I don’t think this is realistic, but it keeps Fiance sane!)
I am still researching vendors, so I’m not sure how everything will pan out. If things cost more, then we will deal with it – we could spend up to $50k, but would prefer not to in possible. We have about 90 people that we would be inviting in either scenario.

If we elope, then our honeymoon will obviously be part of the trip. But if we have a traditional wedding, we would probably see how much money we were gifted before booking a slightly delayed honeymoon.

We are having a VERY intimate wedding. Our expenses should not exceed $5,000. This includes all vendors (photo & video, officiant, cake, flowers, hair, & makeup), attire, travel, and accommodations but does not include honeymoon or rings.
