It doesn’t seem like there’s much time to hang out and relax on the day of for me.  Thursday night we are doing the rehearsal and after that we have a reservation for the rehearsal dinner at a local Italian restaurant.  On Friday evening we are having a “welcome reception” for the out of town guests (mainly my brothers and a couple of other family members) at my mom’s house where we will be serving desserts and drinks.  I am really looking forward to this because I only see my older brothers like once every 5 years.  This will be a nice time to sit back and hang out and just catch up.

I think I am going to be staying the night at my mom’s that night before the big day.

Wedding Day Timeline

9am- Meet bridesmaids and flower girl at the salon at 9am for hair and makeup.  Refreshments will be served at this time.

12pm- Go park cars at the reception/ceremony venue so everyone’s is where it needs to be.  Guys get ready at mine and my FI’s house.

1pm- Bridesmaids get ready at my mom’s house.  Photographer arrives for “getting ready” pics.

1:30- Bridesmaids and Bride get in limo and meet groomsmen and groom at the ceremony location.

1:45- First look photos

1:55- Wedding Party pics around the hotel and then take the limo for more pics downtown

3:30pm- Ceremony

4:00pm- Family pictures, guests may head to reception venue

4:30pm- Bride and Groom pictures

5:00pm- Bride and Groom Arrive at reception

9:00pm- Bride and Groom leave reception.

And then we get to the airport at 5:30am to get started on our honeymoon!

I really need to get organized with this since our wedding is less than 2 weeks away!

I think the general plan is..

Fly home to NY on Sat. Finish all packing for move across country.

Canadian guests come 2 days before wedding. Take them around New York City and keep them busy and entertained while trying to do all final wedding things…

Stay at my parent’s house the night before. Bring the dog to the pet hotel. Drive 2.5 hours up to the venue myself (stopping to pick things up along the way). Go to venue (which is a B&B) check-in and drop my stuff off. Meet the BM’s and go get our hair/make-up done. Start pics and rehearsal once we return. Wedding starts at 4:30 and ends at 10:00.

Have breakfast the next morning with the guests staying over at the B&B. Pick up heroes for a picnic. Meet all guest at 12:30 for a post-wedding picnic and wine tasting at a winery. Picnic ends at 2:30.

Drive 3 hours further up North. Drop our Canadian friends along the way to catch a train home. Continue onto our mini-honeymoon destination in Ithaca at another fancy B&B. Stay there for 2 nights then return home.

Pack all our boxes in the car. Pick-up the dog from my parents and pack her in the car. Whatever fits is coming–whatver doesn’t goes into storage. Begin one-week drive across country to Colorado.

Go back to work on Monday.
