Plated little gem salad with strawberries, walnuts, and goat cheese (separate salad for our one guest with a nut allergy)

Mid-dancing treat: chocolate shot glasses filled with a Mourvedre dessert wine (passed by wait staff)

After party: In-N-Out style cheeseburgers and tater tots (really wanted the In-N-Out truck but it is only in SoCal)

  • Wedding: September 2020 - New Hampshire

Casual barn wedding in New Hampshire, we are doing tacos and I am SO freaking excited!

Cocktail: empanadas, chips, salsa and guacamole. Might add something else here.

Dinner: tacos on tacos on tacos. We’ll have a pulled chicken, pulled pork, and seasonal veggies. Tons of different slaws, hot sauces, salsas.

Dessert: a local farm near us makes amazing cider donuts, so we’ll do cinnamon sugar and the maple glaze (which I could legit eat like 10 of them).

Drinks: open wine and beer.

Late night: I live rurally so I’m trying to find a way to get us a crap ton of McDonald’s as late night food!

  • Wedding: February 2018 - UK

Ours was at a hotel in the U.K. We had mixed cocktail snacks at the drinks reception – I can’t remember them as I never got a chance to eat them!

For our main meal we had:

Starter – ham hock and gruyere tart with rocket salad.

Main – pork belly with apple purée and roasted vegetables

Dessert – lime tartlet (yep, we had two tarts in one meal!) with rum soaked raisins and coconut sorbet

Our evening meal was traditional fish and chips, or hot dogs. UK weddings typically serve two meals, so the evening guests can eat too.

The cake was strawberry and cream sponge with strawberry milkshake flavoured buttercream.
