I was just looking at mine, you have so many amazing options. We kept it a little more simple.

Apps will be chips and three types of salsa

Mexican Street Tacos for entree, Slow-Cooked Pulled Beef and Pulled Chicken with Chiles, Garlic, and Spices w/ Guacamole, Roasted Tomato Salsa, Sour Cream, Jack and Cheddar Cheeses, Cabbage Slaw with Cilantro and Scallion, and Warm Corn and Flour Tortillas

Sides: Calabacitas(Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Corn, Onions, and Garlic, Topped with Jack and Cheddar Cheese)s & Classic Style Refried Pinto Beans

zl27 :  I’m open to cake flavor suggestions! FH wants tres leches but it’s too wet to be stacked so we’re stuck right now.

Most wedding menus are just ok. This is one serious menu. Yes!

peekaboobs :  it can be done; it just takes a talented baker who knows how to create the necessary support structure. Or you could go with a small cake for cutting (or a grand cake with fake layers below the top layer) and sheet cakes for serving.

Mine is a little more formal because of the venue. I’m a little worried about it but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Bite: Meat/ cheese and ferments

Small starter: venison faggots, Apple, cabbage

Main: beef, selection of carrots, taragon

Sweet: Berry crumble. Thanks

(Veggie options differ)

I’m worried that because it is a bit posh – the portions won’t be massive. But I’m thinking if it’s eaten over a long period of time with wine etc then it should be fine.

Oh and Bacon rolls at 9pm!

A few canapés each at 2pm also!

  • Wedding: December 2018

We’re getting married at a German style brewery in December so our food is filling, warming and appropriately themed:

Canapes: pâté on oatcakes with caramelised onion, bruschetta, hummus and red pepper on savoury mini pancakes

Starter: German Sharing plate of meats, sausages, cheeses and salad

Mains, guests can help themselves to any combination of: Bavarian beef stew, jagermeister pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce, lentil and mushroom goulash, garlic roast potatoes, roast onions, roast carrots, roast parsnips, mashed potato, rice.

Dessert: Apple strüdel with cinnamon ice cream

Evening snack: currywürst and soft pretzels.

Omg all of these menus sound so delicious! It doesn’t help that it is lunch time where I am at currently.

We also opted for a more formal dinner menu, but it will be served buffet style

My Fiance and I are huge foodies so it was really hard for us to narrow down our menu because we loved everything our caterer had to offer!

We decided on:

Appetizers

– bourbon beef skewers

-coconut shrimp lollipops

-feta-stuffed mushrooms

Entrees

– Slow-cooked prime rib

– lobster ravioli

Sides

-house salad with champagne vinaigrette dressing

– grilled seasonal veggies

– garlic mashed potatoes

-fresh-baked dinner rolls

I am too excited for our food, especially the lobster ravioli!

Please invite me to your wedding!

i am Guyanese but we had traditional food. Though we had black cake because my mom wanted it. We know someone who makes delicious black cake but I don’t eat it lol.

I am living in the Netherlands right now and missing Caribbean food so badly.
