wedding party dance, like bridal dance?  I was thinking of the same question?  Is it supposed to be slow?

@cherrycoke: That’s what my bridal party wants to use–Party Rock Anthem!  Although, they’re dancing on their own.  Fiance and I are coming in and dancing to something different.

Our wedding party was introduced to “Let’s Get the Party Started” by the Black Eyed Peas. They did their own surprise dance. It really got the party started because it set a great tone for the reception. My advice is take this song seriously if you want a rockin’ reception. For us, it set the tone of the night. It’s still memorable nearly 2 years later!

Fiance and I are opening up the floor pretty much as soon as we’re announced.  We only have 4 hrs for a reception and that’s not negotioable.  So I wanted to make sure we got things going.  Then we eat a little, Daddy/Daughter dance and then more open dancing!  I encouraged the wedding party to dance it up and set good examples!  I start if off with a dancy song, having the wedding party walk in to Evacuate the Dance Floor and my Fiance and I will walk in to I Kissed a Girl (which we thought would make people laugh, plus we love Katy Perry!).

since we only have a matron of honor and best man, i think we are going to skip the wedding party dance. doesn’t seem to make sense for us to have one.
