Bridal Party Entrance – Riptide, originally performed by Vance Joy, covered by Vitamin String Quartet (we sang this song straight for 2 years)

Bride Entrance – Chasing Cars, originally performed by Snow Patrol, covered by VSQ (groom’s favorite song)

Recessional – Home, originally performed by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, covered by VSQ (we sang this all the time in the car, too)

First Dance – not totally decided, but thinking Ellie Goulding’s version of Your Song

Father Daughter Dance – Breaking the Law by Judas Priest (my dad and I listened to Justice of the Peace all the time, every car ride while I was growing up. He doesn’t know this is the song; it’s going to be a surprise)

Mother Son – not yet determined.

Cake Cutting – not sure yet.

Last Dance – not sure yet.

So far we’ve settled on an orchestra version of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” for my entrance and our first dance song will be “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John. Finding out what to dance with my dad to is going to be the hardest part because we both like funk and disco music and there’s really no father-daughter appropriate disco or funk songs.

So far…

Recessional: A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes – Disney Philarmonic Orchestra

Bridal Party Intro Song – No clue!

First Dance – I Could Not Ask For More – Edwin McCain

Father/Daughter – Butterfly Kisses (cliche, but we used to go to father-daughter square dances every year when I was in elementary school, and they played this song at the end each year.)

Mother/Son – Times of Your Life – Paul Anka (FMILs pick)

No clue on anything else just yet!

Omg I need to pick songs for all these things!?!  Ceremony and first dance are already kicking my butt.  And I’m going to foist father-daughter on my dad.

I do have a last dance idea though – Wonder of You by Elvis Presley.  Love that song, and love that it’s a “slow dance” song but kind of upbeat.  Seemed like a good last dance option.
