We don’t have a theme per se but our colors are gray, mint, and blush pink. There’s also a lot of lace into the decors.

Theme: Stuff we like. 🙂

(We like travel and a lot of nerdy things, and we’re using our favorite colors, purple and teal, to tie it together a bit.)

Since before we got engaged we wanted coffee and cream because he first told me he loved me in our favourite coffee shop. Fiance has always wanted a brown suit.

Our theme is Catholic wedding. Don’t care for themed weddings.

Our wedding is a map/road trip theme. We are both “roadgeeks” that like reading maps, taking road trips for the destination and all of the roads inbetween, and share the hobby, so it was natural to make this our theme.

Colors: orange (persimmon) and blue (navy). These are our favorites but coincidentally are the colors of the old Gulf gas station maps.

bridal party: persimmon dresses, navy blue suits

flowers: made entirely from Rand McNally atlas maps.

save-the-dates: postcards with a photo collage from our engagement shoot (which involved pictures at an old mill and covered bridge). Some of the shots include maps.

invitations: map background, postcard RSVPs

wedding cake topper: looking for one with bride and groom in car

guestbook: I have a postcard collection, and we are having each guest sign a postcard with congrats/best wishes. The loose postcards will be in an old vintage suitcase, and once guests sign, they can place their card in our travel themed guestbook (the pages are translucent and hold 6 4×6 cards each).

favors: we are filling souvenir mugs from travel destinations and points of interest with candy. We’ve been collecting the mugs from thrift stores and yard sales. It has been a lot of fun – we’ve gotten a lot of beach, island, and Disney mugs, but some different ones like Oklahoma and Prince Edward Island.

honeymoon: road trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto, with wiggle room for some unplanned stops (like maybe the Baseball hall of fame in Coopertown, NY)

We are having a Wellfleet (Cape Cod) themed wedding.  Wellfleet is a really special place for us, but getting married there wasn’t in the cards.  I was really sad at first, but Cape Cod prices in the summer paired with Cape Cod bridge traffic just didn’t work for us.   Instead, we are bringing as much of Wellfleet to Plymouth as we can.  We are using hydrangeas and oyster shells for decor.  We even have an antique lobster trap to hold our cards! Our cake topper is my favorite part.  It was handmade by an artist in Brewster.  It’s two ceramic oyster shells with two pearls and I love love love it.  We are also using lobster barley pops for our favors.

We met many of our closest friends while living and working in Wellfleet.  Since they live in Europe, we don’t get to see them often.  We’re going to spend the Saturday and Sunday after our wedding in Wellfleet with our friends before heading out for our honeymoon.

Ocean/ under the sea. We’re incorporating a lot of real seashells and starfish into the decor, and we’re getting the blue uplighting that looks like moving waves on the ceiling. Accent color is turquoise.

@lifeswonderful2day:  My theme is beach/starfish. The first picture is my location and the bottom left picture is a picture my venue sent me of a wedding that has a similar color to mine, so it will look a lot like that! I’m excited, everything is coming together!!

@swisea01:  well it looks like we’re somewhat theme (maybe not twins, but sisters). Beautiful colors and cute starfish! We’re scattering blue and green sea glass around the centerpieces too.
