I seen a post the other day that made me LOL – someone was asking them about their wedding theme and they about spewed hatred from every pore of their being and replied with “I have to have a theme?! Isn’t the “theme” our wedding? Is that not the point to the entire day? Our love for each other, add in some flowers, food, and good music and celebrate the fact that two people are willing to commit the rest of their lives to each other?! Isn’t that enough?!”

I almost spit my coffee out on my laptop’s screen as I read the honesty in those words.  So many of us have gotten so caught up in the bridal magazines’ must have lists and the thoughts of everyone else’s demands that we forget what the entire point of the day is about.

And if you can’t pinpoint your name of the theme on the day you’re getting married then just remember that comment – my THEME?! It’s “OUR WEDDING” Kiss

Peacock theme. Not very original, but I love the colors. We are sticking mostly with dark teal and dark purple, with accents of light turquoise, blue, royal purple, emerald green, and fushcia.

@DarthBetty:  I LOVE the Bioshock Cake. Genius! Just remember to make the day about what you want. If you was Polka dots and red roses then do it. My concept is finding out to be pretty popular and overdone (Peacock) so….

@Seattlerains83:  Good point! I’m just going to let it be deliciously tacky
