Ok, I know weddings are not about gifts, but it’s definitely a fun part of the process.
I am so estatic, I just got a wedding gift a little early from my boss today and was in complete shock. I walked into my office to a new IPad and smart cover! My boss is awesome! Definitely not on our registry, but I happily accepted it. My Fiance and I will have a lot of fun using it on our honeymoon for watching movies on the flight and surfing the internet during layovers.
So bees, what has been your favorite wedding gift?

@bmo88: wow, that is an awesome gift!
i would say that a new bedspread was my favorite gift, and gets the most use!

@LavenderBride24: Very practical and we registered for one. We have dogs, so our bedspread gets destroyed every year. It’s funny that people keep refusing to buy off our registry though…they insist on getting a gift, but say, “registries are lame and unoriginal.” I want to say, “but that’s stuff we need!”

@bmo88: that’s a shame! That’s what registries are for!

We got the pots and pans we registered for, and LOVE them…we also got a lot of gift cards from our shower and got a new knife set (henkells) and our dishes….we also got new glasses….
We also got a lot of money, and were able to get our kitchenaid mixer :D….our kitchen is SET, and we are LOVING cooking…

@bmo88: ha ha…I have an aunt who refused to buy off the registry for the wedding (after she saw my husband’s aunt buy towels off the registry for the shower—which were a joke, then they gave us a gift card as well)…
So she got us an electric fondue pot….um, we have a fondue pot worth a few thousand dollars (because of when it was made, who it was made by, and the quality of it) so what??? We will try it when it cools down, but I can’t see us keeping it…..
She also gave us a chocolate fondue pot thing (the kind with a candle)–got rid of this right away….my Darling Husband can’t eat chocolate….and fondue plates…we’re keeping those 😉
I guess 1 out of 3 things aren’t bad…LOL

We were given a ton of wonderful gifts…we’re so grateful. But the greatest gift was a handmade gazebo my Brother-In-Law made us for the wedding and now we use in our backyard 🙂
