I need help. I have no idea what to expect for my flower costs. I don’t think my wish list is anything over the top – my bouquet + 7 BMs, 3 corsages, 9 bouts, 20ish small/simple centerpieces (probably hydrangeas). I want my bouquet all white with lush, big flowers like peonies and cabbage roses. All other arrangements will have succulents and some greenery tied in. I had a random dream that my quote was going to be 12k and someone told me that wasn’t too far off because her flowers cost 8-9k. WHAT?!?!?!! Ideally I’d like to get out under 2k, but no way can I go over 3k. Am I just way out of touch with reality? How much are YOUR fresh flowers costing you and what all are you getting with that price? Thanks bees!

I am not having fresh flowers due to the cost. I just decided I was ok with fake without ever looking into how much real ones cost. There are ways of cutting costs, like doing some things yourself, just buying the flowers you want in bulk. I really cant answer how much that might cost you. Good luck!

You can have as little of a budget.. or as much of a budget as you want. We spent $200 total in flowers for all bouquets, corsages, and table arragements.

I’m getting a bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, 4 boutonnière, and 8 candelabra/flower centerpieces for around $5K.
You do have a tall order, I would guess $10K depending on complexity of centerpieces.

I don’t plan on spending much at all! My plan was to go to the grocery store the day before and get what they had, then another bee suggested ordering the flowers through the grocery store. It will be tons cheaper than florist, and bouquets and boots are not difficult to make at all. The wedding party girls and I are going to do them together the night before. We are going to make it fun and include wine!

We’re spending around 800 but not doing flower center pieces

I answered wrong 🙁 we spent around $2,000
we spent roughly $900 for our DIY centerpieces, which were quoted around $3,000 alone by florists
$130 for church flowers from a florist-10 pew clip hydrangeas with bows and 2 large arrangements for the altar
$850 for 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, 5 corsages, 9 bouts.
If we did all of it with a florist it would have cost around $4,000 but we split it between the florist and DIY and saved a good chunk Of change.

Peonies are expensive! Hydragangeas are less expensive and there are multiple blooms on each stem!
If you are careful about the flowers you want to use… you could probably be closer bw $3-5K. I guess that all depends on where you’re at and which florist you use.
My flower budget will be about 1500… I’m using hydrangeas (lots of it), garden roses and probably baby’s breath just as fillers if needed. I also don’t have as many bm’s/gm’s as you do in your party.

My fsil is making our boquets, corsages, and boutineers all for $200 using preserve flowers. I don’t want to spent hundred or even thousands of dollars on flowers that are going to be thrown out after the wedding…such a waste of money. I am looking at either having fake flowerss as center pieces or no flowers at all. I want inexpensive but pretty for my wedding. I’m having a small wedding anyways with family and some close friends.

missoptimism: We are getting fresh flowers. 1 bridal bouquet, 3 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, 1 groom’s bout, 3 Groomsmen bouts, 2 Momma corsages, and then whole bunches of baby’s breath for 10-11 centerpieces is going to cost us less than $500.
My bouquet will have 2 carnations, a daisy, 2 roses, and a lily (representing my important female relatives plus a lily for me) all cream with a ton of greenery (ferns, foresty type stuff). My BMs will have baby’s breath or some other white/cream delicate flower. They might also have a single flower in each for each of their favorites.
The bouts will be forest themed, with mostly greenery, a pinecone (FI insisted), and a tiny cream flower. Mommas will get corsages with more flowery bits in them but still very green-centered.
The price we were quoted includes delivery to our venue the day of.
Our centerpieces we will be doing ourselves – a slice of log, a small vase (I’m thinking something like bud vases – sleek), some mossy bits. I’m expecting to pay no more than $700 as a high estimate for full decorations (Christmas lights, centerpieces, fabric sashy things) and all flowers.

Price of flowers are dependent on where you live. My budget is $3,000 and I live in the Bay area. Where do you live?

We spent around $800. My flowers and center pieces were gorgeous. The trick is don’t go to a regular florist. we used our grocery store florists and the cost dropped from thousands to hundreds. I told her what I wanted and she nailed it. We used red roses that were staggered with twigs, it was huge and stunning. everyone commented on our flower arrangements and how beautiful they were.

We wanted to spend $2500 but will be paying about $3000

Sadly, I think 3k would be minimum for what you want… and it might be quite a bit more for your wish list, if you use a traditional florist. Other bee suggestions are good, like grocery store, Whole Foods, Sams Club, etc. If you are up for DIYing anything at all, that could really help your costs. I did DIY centerpieces – 15 orchids in gold pots for about $500, and aside from getting them to the venue, it was really not added stress at all.
My day of coordinator did the flowers as well, and she was much more reasonable than a traditional florist. I wanted a lush look on a budget, so I asked her to incorporate a ton of greenery.
Large (huge, I told her to break my arms) bridal bouquet: $300
Maid/Matron of Honor bouquet: $95
5 bouts: $18pp
MOB/MOG nosegays: $55 each
Grandmother of the Groom orchid corsage: $25
Ferns for Aisle Decor: $100
2 Bar arrangements (a lot of green): $110
$830 total for pro florals
Floral stuff really adds up. I didn’t have a bridal party and didn’t use a florist for centerpieces, so almost a grand for just the immediate family.
