I’m a little farther out than you (like 10 months out lol)

I’m planning on keeping my hair healthy with regular (weekly) masks. My hair tends to dry out fast. I’m also debating about doing some whitening treatments soon (since it last a good amount of time.)

I look forward to hearing about other bee’s routines too!

I’m a little bit less than 6 months away and the only thing I’ve started is a daily applying of moisturizing body butter on my neck/arms/chest area so my skin doesn’t get too dry.

I decided to get rid of my acne scarring/hyperpigmentation once and for all so I’m being vigilant about using a retinoid and a skin brightener every night – and it’s definitely helping!  I’m also planning to use the strongest Crest White Strips kit available in the month before my wedding, and do extra deep conditioning treatments for my hair (which is very thick and coarse).

Mine involved putting on lotion every time I got out of the shower, using teeth whitening strips, using a special body wash to prevent acne on my back, shoulders, chest…basically anywhere showing in my strapless dress. I was also very good about my face cleaning routine – usually I’m lazy about it but that changed as we got closer to the wedding.

Unlike many brides, I did not worry much about my eating habits or excercise regiment – it’s so easy to get stressed out in the weeks leading up to your wedding, and while some brides find it relaxing to exercise, I find it stressful and it just makes me obsess over my body and what it will look like in my dress.

I have planned out my hair appointments so that I **think** my hair will be the perfect length for the wedding. I’ve also been a lot more diligent about my skincare. No trying out new products. No sleeping in my makeup. I alternate between using hte Liz Earl Hot Cloth Cleanser and my Clarisonic with the Neutrogran natural face wash. I have this feeling that no matter what I do with my skin, I’ll wake up with a huge zit on my wedding day!

I started taking better care of my hair (I used to just shampoo and conditioner every day, now I only wash it  every other day or so, use a leave-in conditioner, use a deep conditioner every few weeks, a hot oil treatment ever week or so, etc.) I’m really loving my hair now, so I think I’ll keep it up!

I’m also going to whiten my teeth a bit. I did so about 6 months ago, but I want a little boost before the wedding.

I’ve always been good about moisturizing my face (day cream with SPF and night cream), but I did add an eye cream to my routine about 8  months before the wedding. I bought a face mask that I remember to use about once every three months. . . I am going to try to use it once a week for the rest of the time till the wedding though, and use it along with an at-home facial routine: http://beauty.about.com/od/skinflaws/ht/basicfacial.htm

I’ve also gotten a couple of mani/pedis, but one was for some photos, one for a friends wedding, and the other because I had a deal, so I don’t know if those count. I will get gel nails for the wedding itself. I moisturize my hands a lot during the day, and try to do my whole body before bed. I use skin firming lotion in case that has any kind of actual effect.

bump! I haven’t really added a ton to my skin care routine, but I am trying to wash my hair less often and put in coconut oil about once a week before bed and sleeping on it. I also may skip a hair color or 2.

I am considering doing a series of facials before my wedding in October? Did anyone do this?

@CammyMo:  I’m getting married the day after you and going to do the same. I’m getting microbrassion tomorrow (got 2 for x-mas) and then will switch to monthly chemical peels. I have a fair amount of acne scaring and did a series of 6 before and it really helped my skin (got pregnant right after and my skin got all out of whack again:()

I have always been a product junkie, my wedding isn’t until october but I want my skin and hair to be the best they can be. I have been using a heavy eye cream because even though I’m 20 years old I had dehydration lines around my eyes. I alsohave started using some products with hylauronic (sp?) acid in them to help with hyperpigmentation…basically like a mini at home chemical peel with no scary results and change is shown over time.
