I’ve seen some cute/different ones recently:
Vintage carnival/circus theme
Picnic theme (my brother’s wedding)
What about all of you? Did you use a specific theme or just stick with colors? Or what neat/different themes have you come across?

ours is “we’re getting married. And there’s a giant party!”

We aren’t really doing a theme, but we are getting married on NYE so there will be a little bit of that. Our ceremony will be all white, white draping on the walls, white chairs, with really low lighting and candles lining the aisle. Our reception will have all black linens with black chivari chairs and lots and lots of candles, white flowers for centerpieces and some candles will be diamond wrapped. I guess I was going for classic, romantic?? The new years eve items will be passed around at 11:30. I cannot wait, I am creating my dream party!!

Ours is, as you mentioned, the vintage carnival/circus theme in a color scheme of Royal Blue and Pale Yellow. We met going to Coney Island, to see a band whose shtick can only be described as “circus punk” … the motif has manifested itself in our relationship in many other ways as well, so we just went with it. Presumably, you only get one wedding; might as well have YOUR wedding and not someone else’s! 😀
I’ve been busily pinning away ideas that match the theme, too! If you’re curious, go look!
Did you have a theme in mind, hebbywebby? Or are you still deciding?

We are having a Celtic Medieval theme (inspired by our venue of a Scottish Castle!) and yikes it is harder than I thought!!!!

Mine was “tropical elegance” we used big, tropical colored and tropical flowers and we my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses were a bright teal blue so the colors really stood out. Our centerieces were palm leavesin trumpet vases with the same tropical flowers in them and we used slat water taffy as our favor and our signature drink was a long island iced tea.
Here is a pic of my dress and my sisters who were BM’s. You can see how the flowers and the dresses stood out.

Our theme is X-Files/Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings/Titanic/baseball. It’s going to be awesome.

@Angkinah: My cousin had one of those! She actually encouraged people to come in costume… and only like five of us did… heh.

Hm, I don’t know if we really have a theme? Our colors are grey and blush pink with accents of white, black, and champagne, chalkboards, clear glass and mercury glass candleholders, milk glass, and burlap runners for texture. I guess…vintage-y/romantic?

- Wedding: September 2014 - Lodge
Our theme is rustic/fall. More rustic though. Lots of candles in mason jars, lace wedding dress, lodge for site with lots of wood beams exposed and a fireplace.

We’re having a fall/harvest themed wedding.

I don’t think we really have a name for our theme. I left color scheme chosing up to my hunny and he chose blackand white (damask), a deep red, and silver accents. I think he chose rather stylishly, especially for a guy.
If anything, we’re focusing on the “Tree of Life”. Our centerpieces are trees, and there are a lot of Tree of life elements brought into decor from start to finish. We just really love the symbolism of the tree of life.

Rustic Christmas (not to be mistaken with tacky Christmas!)

Andy Warhol! Bright pops of color, modern, edgy, fun.

@NurseMandie: I would love to have a fall wedding! Unfortunately, my SO and I have season tickets for football, so much of our fall is consumed with football games and tailgating ..just not a good time for a wedding.
