@soon2bS: food, in general for me. Whether that’s at the grocery store or a nice restaurant.

Make up! Unless it’s a pencil eyeliner, I’m not too picky with those since setting it with eyeshadow helps it last. but eyeshadow , foundation, lipstick, etc I go to sephora 🙂 Mac was too… packed for me.

Shoes!! I try loving cheaper ones since that way I can get more but I can’t 🙁 I wear my cheap pairs less often :-/

Toilet paper. Living with my parents they always got the thin cheap one but now it’s two ply for me Hehehe.

hmm that’s all I can think of ATM 🙂

 • We never buy store-brand TP.
 • I’m not necessarily picky about the brand, but I do spend more on laundry detergent to get one that is made for sensitive skin.
 • Foundation – it’s only about $30, but other than this I mainly use cheap drugstore products. It lasts me forever! That’s a mineral powder though. I’d like to find a high end liquid foundation that won’t break me out and would love any suggestions. I currently have a drugstore liquid foundation that I use on days that I want more coverage; it’s on the more expensive side of drugstore foundations and it doesn’t really break me out, but I’m not completely happy with it.
 • Mascara – even though I do use a drugstore mascara, it’s one of the more expensive ones. I have very oily skin, so I’ve only found 2 mascaras that don’t make me look like a racoon. Both are by Loreal.
 • Make-up brushes
 • Sheets! I used to be naive and think that sheets didn’t matter. Then we splurged and bought an egyptian cotton sheet set with a high thread count. Oh my goodness, I will NEVER get cheap sheets again.
 • I’d be willing to splurge on face wash, but fortunately for me the thing that works best is washing my face with honey. I did splurge on 2 exfoliators that I use occasionally.
 • Coffee – we decided to try to save a little money and bought coffee from Aldi once. BIG mistake.
 • I will occasionally splurge on a better quality shampoo, but I don’t always do this.

I think that’s about it. Darling Husband and I have learned to be pretty frugal. We’re not brand specific when it comes to food, and we have pretty good luck with shopping at Aldi for most of our groceries. I’ve always been a bargain shopper when it comes to shopping for clothes and accessories. Now that I have to dress more professionally, I’m having to accept the fact that there will be times that I have to pay FULL PRICE for a pair of pants or shoes, lol.

The big splurges we have is on our pet food. I refuse to feed my little ones anything you can find in the grocery stores after reading up on them and I make sure what they eat is grain free. The big splurge we have is that we go to the movie theaters about once or twice during the weekend but in a way we save money by doing so now because we use the service movie pass so we spenc about $65 a month for the two of us to see unlimited movies which actually pays off around the fourth movie for the month depending on the theater we go to.

Overseas flights, I will NOT fly coach. It’s bad enough for short flights but there’s no way I’ll sit in a cramped sardine can for 4+ hours. I’m 6’1″ so it’s just not comfortable ever. We flew business class to Hawaii (our honeymoon, we’re here now) and one glance back into economy made me so happy about that choice, even though my husband thinks it was stupid. He’s just gonna have to learn…
