So last time I updated my progress on this board I had just gotten back from the ONE time I get to visit Florida (I’m in Japan right now) before the wedding. On that trip we booked the venue, did the food and drink tasting and decided a menu, ordered the cake and found my dress. Oh and my step-mother and Mother-In-Law have collected all of the jars for teh candy buffet. Since I have been back home in Japan I have found the DJ, officiant, and photographer! All I have left is to find the makeup and hair artist for the day of, but I will do that closer to time. I have a lot of DIY projects planned to do in the next few months but since RIGHT before the wedding (like 2 weeks) we will be moving our lives and 3 pets from Japan back to the U.S…. so I dont want to also have wedding stuff to do in the few months prior… I would probably go crazy. I am so excited! Can you think of anything that I’m missing or think of any DIY projects I can start now? I’m a housewife and have WAYYYYY too much free time (and boredom) so any ideas are welcome! Thanks everyone!

Wow you’ve done a lot! I live in a different state than my wedding, but not a different country 🙂 I’ve booked my venue, band, and wedding planner. Next up will be photographer and florist in the next few months. Sounds like all you really need to do is work on your DIY stuff. Are you using a florist? You might want to book that in the near future, in my city they book up about a year out. What about chairs and linens? Save-the-dates? Bridesmaids dresses, groomsmens outfits, and invitations can all be done later. I like to spread things out because it’s all so fun and I don’t want to finish planning too quickly haha.

good for you!! you could do table numbers, escort cards, think about invitations, transportation (if needed) containters for your guest for the candy buffet and scoops (we are doing a buffet as well) start looking up candy costs it gets expensive.

@RunnerBride13: Month twins! 🙂 I’m also in San Diego! I havent started on anything yet, but we have booked our venue, hammered down our budget, and I have started looking for dresses. Oh, and inquiring price lists for photographers. 🙂 Reading your post however makes me feel like I am so behind. :o(

@faithamicka: All I’ve done is venue, budget and band (family friend and we got a great deal)!! I found my dress, but I’m in the process of finding it in my price range! I have no clue on photographers or florists either. No worries!!!
