I can’t decide on what kind of wedding bands to get me and my fh. They will be 10k white gold. Mine will be 3mm wide and his will be 5mm. I dont know if I should get them flat or comfort fit. Flat will match my engagement ring more. But I need to make sure they can get engraved on. is flat OK? I’m leaning toward that kind.

Comfort fit is a LOT more comfortable, although it matters less with how wide the band is. The wider it is, the more of a need for comfort fit. I’d recommend it, though, at least for your FH’s. Comfort fit can still be engraved. I have 2 1.5mm wide bands, and they’re flat and fine, but my husband’s ring is 5mm wide too and he has it comfort fit. Definitely better that way. 🙂

Comfort fit all the way 🙂 My Fiance actually insisted on it for his wedding band, he was very specific on what he wanted and actually designed my e-ring and wedding band so they would be the most comfortable to wear.

You can get flat comfort-fit bands.

They’ll definitely be engravable, and the flat profile looks good. I really liked them on my fiancee better than the domed style.

I have a flat fit which matches my e-ring and I can’t imagine something being more comfortable. Mine is 2mm. Personally, I think the difference would be so small, I’d go based on price!

I have a flat, DH has a comfort fit. I feel like mine is super comfortable, never bothers me at all. I’ve tried his on (haha) and maybe because his ring is too big for my finger (1 size or so) but I like my flat way better than his. Go to a store and try them on, you don’t have to buy 😉

I have only just started looking (one store) and pretty quickly determined that with my BIG E-Ring (10 mm) that I’ll be going with a fairly narrow W-Band.
My biggest decision was what metal. My E-Ring is 18K White Gold, but being 18K although it is really quite pure, it is also quite soft. As I won’t be taking my W-Band off EVER, I’m leaning towards something more durable… so either Platinum or 10K White Gold.
Went and tried on rings, fell in love with a 2.5 mm comfort fit domed one (originally thought I wanted 1.5 or 2 mm… but they were just too small and lost next to my 10 mm E-Ring). Jeweller quoted me $ 250 for a 10K White Gold one, or $ 1250 for a Platinum one. Now seriously leaning towards White Gold due to pricing. However, due to the height that my E-Ring has (thick band) I will continue to search… need something that isn’t lost sitting beside my E-Ring. If I don’t find what I want (have 4-1/2 months still to search) guess we will consider Custom Made.
Hope this helps (somewhat),

Im going to go with my fiance to a jewelry store next week to just look and we’ll try on both kinds, and see how which fits better. That way we know for sure before we buy.
