I need some help picking out a wedding band. I know a plain white gold would look fine, so would a simple diamond band as well.. but it KILLS me to be so boring. Any ideas? Pretty small budget (my fiance and I are both in college and have to pay the wedding ourselves.. ayyy). Any ideas? Vintage look would be fine. Come on Bees!

I think either a channel set or a prong set diamond band would look great with your ring, especially if you want some sparkle. Do you or anyone you knw have a Sam’s Club membership? They have some beautiful diamond bands on their site and their prices cannot be beat. I have one and it really sparkles!

I second a channel set band

I agree! Something similar to the sides of your band. Or, get a channel set but with colored stones! That would be beautiful!

Channel set band would look uber pretty 🙂

A channel set band would be best. If you want something a little more vintage-y, you could get a channel band with milgrain. Or, because of the side stones, you could go with a bezel eternity.

Here’s my channel set! My e-ring has sapphires, how about adding a pop of color with another gemstone? That would add some interest. Millgrain is another option. Ok, so basically I’m echoing everyone else’s awesome ideas…

We were in college when we got engaged too. We got a moissanite which kept the cost down a lot, but gold is really expensive too. Because my ring is funny shaped I would have have to get a custom band and didn’t prioritize it, so I ended up not getting a wedding band. Maybe someday, but I’m pretty attached to my e-ring the way it is now (I’m so bad at change…).
Our officiant asked us before hand if we wanted to exchange rings and we just told him no. My poor husband couldn’t ever decide on one, and I was already wearing mine. He just didn’t even mention it in the ceremony, no worries.
