Beautiful dress!

a) It’s sitting rather low on you and I’m not sure if the waistline is situated where it should be right now. Just a note for alterations!

b) Because of the detailing and ruching at the waist, I’m not entirely sure it even needs a belt. If you do go with a belt, I would choose something moderately thin and simple so as not to distract from the ruching.

I believe you would need something but agree it should be a thin simple beaded sash.

I’m usually a fan of belts, especially belts with bling, but with the details and pleats, I vote no belt this time. Maybe go a little bolder with the accessories.

Hello! While I know some bees vote no belt, I work in bridal (which is why i probably notice it) and while I love the dress I have to say that open seam at the waistband is driving me crazy. It makes the dress look unfinished and I agree I think you need something.

Now I am not saying you have to do bling, you could do just a plain ribbon. This would hide the deam and polish off the dress. Plus you can pop over to Jo Anns or Hobby Lobby and get ribbon cheap.

You could do something with a floral/lace motif, which is still soft but has a little more flare than just the standard ribbon…

I like the idea of doing something with just a little bling, but again this is personal taste. Whatever you do need to be subtle enough to accent the dress, not take away from it…

Peaceoutboyscout: I love the dress, but I agree with llussier: and I think the last one she posted would look amazing with your dress.  Simple, but still has some wow with that middle piece.

Peaceoutboyscout:  I own this belt and I love it because it’s only $40, you can usually find coupons for Altar’d State and most wedding belts and sashes can run into the hundreds range. Yikes! Plus, you can wear it beyond your wedding day! I have this exact belt and I’m actually wearing it for my engagement pics (:

The last belt I posted is my favorite with the small applique and open ribbon

I’m a sucker for sparkley so my vote is on adding some bling! You look great in that dress!
