I refused to get back on BIrth control after I had my son. So I’ve been charting/using condoms for 3 years (well, technically two years cause we didn’t have sex the first year postpartum. Yay breastfeeding! ๐Ÿ˜‘) but my husband is getting a vasectomy next month!!!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

I’ve been on Lolo (Lo Loestrin in the US) for a few years now, my gyno recommended it to me before trying the IUD because I was having nasty side effects with other pills. I LOVE it, I have no periods (I get a bit of spotting every few months but thats it). No other side effects to note. I plan on staying on it until we decide to have kids!

futuremrss17 :  If it’s helpful – Lo Loestrin Fe actually increased my sex drive – which was super weird – and to be honest slightly unappreciated since we’re waiting until marriage! Haha! But I haven’t had any libido issues with it. Does make my PMS pretty bad though – I definitely got weepy over a panda eating a carrot yesterday.

futuremrss17 :  I was on the generic of Ortho Tri Cyclen for years. I then switched to Nexplanon. Had that in for 2 years and had it removed (I finally got sick of the mood side effects and low sex drive) in March. Now we are just using condoms as we are TTC in February. My OB recommended that I be off Hormonal BC for a while before TTC to see how my cycles were doing (I was irregular before being on BC and since coming off have been like a clock).  I am LOVING not being on hormonal BC. Its like I have my life back. I had not realized how much it changed my mood until I got off it.

I’m currently of Lo Loestrin Fe and was on Ortho tri cyclin Lo before this. I really notice no difference except if I miss a pill I start my period immediately. I’m so scared that I’ll start my period that I always make sure I don’t miss a pill!
