I was able to stand the birth control pill for a year only. I think my blood pressure got higher because of it, and now that I am out of it, it went back to normal. So make sure you check your blood pressure regularly. We decided to use fertility awareness, along with the charting method and condoms while in my fertile window. It has worked so far, and I feel much better except when I expect my period. I get a little anxious waiting for it!

I also keep track of my fertile window, which I am being very conservative by giving it 11 days from day 9 to 19, better be safe. I am using the charting method to narrow it down 😉

We double up 95% of the time. We did when I was on BCPs and we do now that I have a IUD.

I am on the pill, and he almost always pulls out. If he wants to finish inside me, he uses a condom. So either way, it’s two methods of birth control.

I’m on the pill, but I think next year I’ll look into getting the hormonal IUD. SO is also so damn paranoid about pregnancy that he often uses a condom as well, but I think I’ve finally gotten him to relax about it, so now it’s usually just the pill that we rely on.

We are waiting until marriage, but plan on continuing my birth control pills AND using condoms. If we ever decide to not use condoms (only on a day of the month when I am definitely not fertile), he’ll pull out. We will be married young and poor, and absolutely cannot afford to be young, poor, and parents! We’ll think about conceiving after at least 4 years. 😉
