@helenberrycrunch: Thanks for the info! It seems like spotting when you first start Junel is a common problem… So I won’t give up on this pill yet!

@Jenlon: I was also a megabitch. I didn’t feel completely normal until towards the end of the second pack.

I’ve had the IUD ever since my daughter was born which is almost two years. I loove lovee lovvee it. I never ever have to think about birth control or OMG am i pregnant?! Insertion didn’t hurt for me. I took some advil and was fine but I know every woman is different. Honestly if I had known about the IUD years ago, my daughter wouldn’t be here lol. It’s effective and lasts for 10 years.

It’s hit or miss. I was on Yaz for a long time, and I HATED it. It made me an absolute nervous wreck, and I constantly forgot to take it. Then the price jumped, and I had to stop taking it because I couldn’t afford it anyway. So I went back, and told my doctor about the issues I had. She prescribed a low-dose pill that was half the price of Yaz. I tried that for a few months, and my weight went through the roof. I’m currently not on the pill, trying to save money, and just dealing with cramps and breakouts. That’s what Midol and makeup is for anyway, right? I’m just glad that my cramps are manageable now.

We’re TTC now, but before we were old school with a diaphragm and spermicide.  It worked for us because we were in a LDR (so the chance of getting preggo was low even without birth control!).

I’ve had the implant, Implanon for about three months now. I tried taking the pill and it made me go absolutely insane. Poor Fiance was shocked at how much I changed and begged me to try something different.

My mother is estrogen dominant so I assumed that perhaps I was too and looked for something that didn’t contain estrogen. I didn’t want to worry about taking a pill and the IUD scared me too much so I went for the Implanon. It lasts three years and has the lowest failure rate of any birth control on the market which is nice for piece of mind. Best of all, I’ve had no change in mood or weight and my periods have completely stopped (around 20% of all women who have it inserted stop having a period.)

And with insurance, it was $20! So far I love it 🙂

I have Mirena. I love it. I haven’t had any kids or my cervix dialated ever. It went in with a breeze, maybe 3 or 4 seconds of pain where I whined. Other than that it was uncomfortable like a pap smear. I’ve had it 6 months now and love it. The pill always messed with me so a really small,  steady dose of hormone was exactly what I needed.

I was using yaz and it made me crazy and now i’m on the nuva ring and i’ve gained 14 pounds!  Idk if its the nuva ring or because I eat more, or if its because I eat more due to the nuva ring, but that’s a lot of weight gain for a few extra skinny cow bars.

I’m thinking of going back on ortho tri cyclen lo.
