I used just a cheapo underwire free strapless nude bra when I went trying on dreses.

I may not wear one with my dress, I can get away with it. I’m a small bust, so I can go either way. Mine was not padded when I took my measurements.

I had a bostie = I’ll show you pics…

you want to buy the bra with the dress ( the store should give you one to try on that is right for the dress)

and when you get it altered you want the exact shoes and all under garments.

I just wore a regular strapless bra when I went to try on dresses. For the day of I had my seamstress sew cups into the dress. She had both regular and padded I could have used.

The bridal salon let me use one of their strapless (longline?) bras to try on dresses.  I was wearing my street clothes (regular bra) for measurements.  I’m hoping to get away with not having to wear a bra with my dress, since it’s a corset back.  I will probably buy a bra just in case for my first fitting later this month and then go from there.

@alishaloo:  +1 same here, it’s also very slimming if you are needing some suction.

I took a strapless bra with me but the salon gave me a longline/corset style to use. Then I ended up buying the same one. I was debating going without a bra since my dress is a corset style but I hear that the bras give you added back support which I will definitly need after a day in heels with my big ol’ dress.

@christinaval:  I wore a strapless, but took it off for 2 out of the 3 trying on sessions I had as per the sales assistants. On the day I had cups sewn in.

I didn’t wear one, but at my next fitting I may try having some cups sewn in for a bit of a lift:)

I’m not wearing one, my seamstress advised against it unless the dress doesn’t have any structure or boning. She will be sewing in cups though my dress is quite hollow as I don’t have a big bust

@aliciapdx:  I didn’t need any but it does help with posture and helps you stand up straight and not slouch…. lots of great things about it.. also it makes good for after if you dont feel like  going to the bathroom once you get to the hotel room and you just want to jump into things.
