I’m going to be DIY-ing my centerpieces and I know I want to do tall vases with branches and then I’m going to add a few stems of flowers (most likely hydrangeas) or possibly some feathers. I also really like the hanging votives. I will also most likely have some small candles surrounding the base.
My mom and I just LOVE these centerpieces. They’re tall, dramatic, modern, elegant, and simple. However, I don’t know what type of branches they are. At first I thought they were thicker birch branches, but I’m not sure.
Anyone have any ideas?

they look kind of similar to these http://www.save-on-crafts.com/mitsumata4.html
I would search this site – they have a natural branches section and you might find something you like.

@totheislnds: Thanks, they do look similar! I’m just trying to get the same look, so this will be helpful.
I’ve browsed that site dozens of times but now I really have to order something soon!

@Mrs. Fireworks: Order?!
I’m not sure where you live… but I live a semi-rural area. I want to do basically the same thing. I plan on serously just asking people when then have downed trees if I can use some of their branches…
I’m not going to pay for something that is in my backyard.

@mandigrl04: Haha yeah I don’t want to pay for them, but I live in Chicago so it’s a bit hard to find branches nearby. However, my parents live in the suburbs and they’re not too far from a forest preserve. They also have two birch trees in their yard so I could go nuts with some tree trimming there! However, the upside to ordering them is that they are all fairly uniform sizes and aren’t dirty.

@Mrs. Fireworks: Yeah.. Chicago would be hard. Although, if you have access to the branches, imo, that still wins out. It’s like paying for grass clippings! Paying for them still seems silly.

I love these! So simple yet complicated at the same time..beautiful! I just might try to recreate these myself. I jsut can’t seem to get my branch centerpieces down right!

Please do not cut the branches from a forest preserve. Try to not move the branches far due to invasive species so cut as locally as possible. You can try asking a local arborist if they know a way you could get some branches. These are awsome btw.
