We had a three tier cake so we had the bottom tier milk chocolate, the second tier white chocolate and the top tier marble (both milk and white chocolate).

It went down very well!

My cake was a vanilla cheesecake flavor (not actual cheesecake) with strawberry filling and vanilla buttercream.  DH’s groom’s cake with chocolate with cappuccino buttercream…people devoured that one!

We’re doing a small, decorated 6″ round cake for pictures and cutting, and then having 4 or 5 flavors of sheet cake to serve. Our cake is a bottom layer of chocolate cake, a layer of cherries, and then a top layer of cheescake *mmm*. They frost it and decorate it so it just looks like a ‘regular’ cake. For sheet cakes, some combo of chocolate/german chocolate, chocolate/bavarian cream, a white cake with rasp or lemon filling, maybe marble, mabye spice. Too many to choose from yet! I may just pick a couple and tell the baker to make her favorites on the others…I can’t eat 6 pieces of cake anyway! 🙂

I don’t like cake, so we’re doing cupcakes and tarts instead. I love key lime pie, so the tarts will be key lime tarts, and my Fiance loves red velvet cupcakes, so the cupcakes will be that flavour.

Neither of us like cake or cupcakes, but we LOVE cheesecake – and find that a lot of people share this love. So we’ll have a few of those delicious bad boys around.

We had a two-tier cake, it was white cake (so vanilla I guess?) with lemon buttercream filling. I wasn’t terribly fussed about the cake, so I just went with what I thought sounded good !

We are having vanilla bean cheesecakes with various toppings.  The groom’s cake will be red velvet, but purple instead of red.  🙂

We’re going to cut into a tiered cheesecake. It will most likely be plain on bottom, marbled in the middle and cherry on top. We will also have a few “regular” cakes and desserts for guests who don’t like cheesecake but not sure of the exact flavors yet.

Fi’s grooms cake will be carrot cake (I am allergic to carrots so it cant be part of the main cake to the extent we will have 2 bakers)

But our cake will be cupcakes and we know we want red velvet, a chocolate and a white chocolate and lemon with a rasberrry filling/frosting (YUMM!) we will probably throw in a vanilla just to be safe too…
