I really had the hardest time find the perfect cake topper. I didn’t want something traditional and Fiance didn’t want any cute fuzzy animals and neither of us really wanted little people on the cake. And we wanted something unique! I searched everywhere for monograms, feathers, beads etc. I saw some pretty cute things but all in all to make us both happy I bought a Monogram, but finding this was also a lot of work. I didn’t want the traditional Monogram in metal. I wanted something with Ivory Pearls. It was not easy finding something to match what I envisioned. So I found this and bought it from a Etsy seller: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39616126 and its exactly what I wanted and so cute in person!

We are going with these custom made cake toppers from a seller on Etsy. We both just happened to stumble upon them and couldn’t get over it, so that’s what we’re going with ;]
I love your cake topper! Here’s ours!

I like that. Well, I ordered both of our first initials and his last initial. I am going to bling them out myself as a DIY project. They won’t need too many rhinestones though, because they are made of mirror. I am so excited.

We’re not having one. We’re going to go with a cupcake tower instead, and might just put some fresh flowers at the top.

I have no desire to get a cake topper. I feel like it’s just another unneccesary expense. I also won’t be getting a personalized cake cutter or server, because that stuff just doesn’t really matter to me.

@ Tulip 61110 Yeah I felt the same way this cake topper I bought was only $18 with shipping. I loved all the other cute ones but I wasn’t willing to spend that much. So I just so happend to find something I loved and was really at a great prices.

We’re not having one. I’m thinking we’ll just have a little bunch of fresh flowers on top!

@Tulip I never understood the whole personalized cake cutter either. We don’t need one, because of the cupcakes, but even if we were having regular cake, I can think of a million things I’d rather have than a personalized utensil we’d use once in our lives.
Sometimes I can’t believe how unsentimental I am.

our cake topper is this random blown glass thing he got me our first christmas together (age 15) I have never known what to do with it, and now it is the perfect thing! (he got it at the blown glass mall kiosk, because all he knew was girls like pretty things)
