I’m sure there has already been a post about this, but I going to ask anyway. What kind of moisturizer do you use? I have been using Aveeno for a couple years now, but this winter my face has been so dry. My forehead even gets a little flaky sometimes. So I’m reaching out to you hive, what kind do you like?

For day I use either La Roche Posay Anthelios SX SPF 15, or Clinique City Block SPF 25. For night, CeraVe PM which I love with a passion.
Also, in the winter, run a humidifier in your bedroom. You can get one for $30 and it will help much more than any $30 face cream.

I have used moisturizer on my face since I was in highschool. And honestly, the best moisturizer I have ever used is making sure I drink a lot of water every single day. I can always tell when I haven’t been getting enough because I start to get flaky skin on my face. Seriously, give it a try for one week and I promise you’ll be suprised (unless you are certain you already drink tons of water) You may have to use the restroom more but it’s totally worth it. Plus, it’s FREE!

I swear by Neutrogena’s Oil Free moisturizer with SPF-15. It’s perfect year round, though in the winter I tend to use a foundation/moisturizer over the Neutrogena (I use either a Stila or a Clinique moisturizing foundation).

I use the target brand version of neutrogena’s oil free moisturizer with SPF. It’s a lot cheaper, and it’s just as nice imo

I’m pretty obsessive about my skincare. I use Elemis products (Pro Collagen Marine Cream plus Liquid Layer for day and Pro Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream for night with Tri Enzyme Resurfacing Serum and Pro Collagen Eye Renewal both day and night). I still get occasional spots at the moment but otherwise my skin is glowing and my previously huge pores have disappeared.

Clinique’s dramatically different moisterizing lotion. That’s the best for my sensitive skin. It gives just the right amount of moisture

I use L’oreal Ultra Hydration or something like that. I used to get the worst dry skin on my face in the winter but I never do when using that stuff. I also second the drinking a lot of water.

cetaphil oil free daily moisturizer w/ spf. i’m a break out queen and this is the only thing that works well for my oily skin.

I have used Mario Badescu’s the Moisture Magnet since high school. It is an SPF 15 too which is great for everyday. I recently switched for night/winter to Desert Essence’s Daily Essential Facial Moisturizer. It has no parabens, no fragance, no dyes, no petroleum based ingredients, no animal by-products, no animal testing which in the end means its better for your skin. Love their entire line and have been making the switch to use all of their products i.e. face wash, hand lotion, shampoo, etc.

Day: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer with SPF 20
Night: Kiehl’s Cryste Marine
When I get flaky, though, nothing but Aquaphor works! I slather it on before bed.

@MlleBrielle: This is the best! I get oily skin in the summer and dry-ish in the winter, and used to switch between the lotion (for when my skin was dry) and the gel (in the summer). I am broke lately because of my job that doesn’t pay me regularly, so lately I’ve been using clean and clear lotions – they all work great and have SPF in them, <$5 in most places.

I swear by Kiehls. I have extremely dry skin and the Ultra Facial Cream is the best! Expensive, but it works!

Olay all the way. My mother has used olay every day since her teens and in her 50’s she has awesome skin. Although, it could be all the pot she smoked in the 70’s and 80’s but who knows.

CeraVe and it is amazing.
