….the flower everyone wants, but rarely can get unless you have a spring wedding or may out the a$$.   Cabbage/garden roses and ranunculus are very good dupes

My florst told me it would be an extra $60 to add them to my bouquet….no thank you! They are very pretty though 🙂

chrissybee:  Yep, peonies they’re very expensive and tempermental flowers – i.e. they wilt and drop petals quickly.  

Depending on your color scheme and season, there are some better/cheaper alternatives with a similar look; such as Sweet Juliet or Cabbage Roses, Ranunculus, Dahlias, and Mums.

Peony buds and the silvery gray leaves are either lamb’s ear or dusty miller.  That’s a very pretty bouquet!
